I had no problem with the staff as they were all pretty friendly. The place is nice enough in the lobby and the room I had was ok (clean, decent size, a/c was fine), but the walls were too thin and the floors creaked whenever anyone walked by or in the next room. Bottom line is that I never felt... More

We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel this past Saturday for Loyola's graduation. We had rooms 386 and 256. The other couple staying in #256 arrived a day earlier and used the valet parking. they said they had no problems getting valet to bring their car around throughout the weekend. We arrived at 3pm on Saturday and were told like many... More

room leaves a lot to desire. I pricelined this hotel and paid the price... it was suppose to be at least a 2.5 star hotel. Instead, it was at best a 1.5 star hotel. The room had no windows and was damp and moldy. The door between the hallway and the room was a glass door covered by really old... More

The hotel staff initially gave me a key to someone else's room upon check-in, in which I entered to find a young lady in her underwear. A few days later a hotel staff person pounded on my room's door at 10:30pm to see if "someone was in there". After calling the front desk they were rude and unapologetic. They also... More

We stayed there for the Jazz Festival and first visit in 45 years. We had a king ground ffloor room and it was very pleasant, roomy and clean I liked the old brick walls and art work. The staff were super friendly and helpful and Chelsie at the front desk was super helpful the entire visit. Great location and could... More

We went to New Orleans for the first time for Jazz Fest 2012. It was a great city, with wonderfully friendly people, and we hope to return there in the future! Regarding our one night at the Ambassador, the front desk staff was extremely curt and completely indifferent. Cleanliness of hotel leaves something to be desired. This hotel did not... More

We stayed here during the French Quarter Jazz Festival 2012. Booked a "superior double" online but upon check-in were given a small windowless room that had seen much wear and that looked nothing like the superior double as advertised on their website. I called the desk about changing rooms and was told that they were fully booked that night and... More

This is a quaint old school New Orleans hotel -- hardwood floors, exposed brick. Continental breakfast and wireless are included in the room price. Location is about 5 block walk to French Quarter and just blocks from Emeril's and other restaurants, bars and music venues. I felt comfortable walking home alone in the evening when my friends wanted to stay... More

I was reluctant to book this hotel after reading some older reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. We have been to New Orleans many times for the Jazz Fest. We wanted to feel relaxed at a hotel after those long days in the sun. The Ambassador was perfect!. My "musts" are cleanliness and quiet-both of these were met. I love... More

Very disappointed overall. Our room had no windows and was not clean. Filthy baseboards and dirty walls. Twice came back at the end of our day to a room that had not had housekeeping service. Staff at front desk hit or miss. Most were friendly. Bartenders not friendly and acted put out to serve us. Hotel is definitely showing its... More
