Bring ear plugs because even the air conditioning is loud. Get a lake view room or don't hope for a quiet nights sleep. Traffic noise is constant. Breakfast is not included and when asked for a packed meal to go to Tikal it was Q60 which is steep. WiFi has sporadic connection but good when you get it. Has a... More

We were recommended this hotel by one of the guys that worked where we stayed in Guatemala city. He said it was nice enough for the price, and he was right. It did have a nice view of the lake though, and he made sure to tell us to get a room with a lake view. (the balcony was great... More

We stayed here one night in order to explore Flores, before our morning flight to Belize. We had a great view of the lake from our room and porch. The front desk staff were very helpful, and of course being on Flores it was close to all of the restaurants and shops there. More

The hotel is OK, Flores is nothing to write home about. But, they do seem to be gearing up for tourists, new sidewalks, etc. We did have an excellent meal next door, grilled camarones that were wonderful. More

We stayed at Hotel Santana for one night on our trip back from Belize to Guatemala City. The hotel is in an old building, and it was rather noisy because you could hear everything from the other rooms (someone watching TV, a baby crying, etc). There is practically no parking, and the room was full of mosquitos when we arrives... More

We stayed here for only one night after our visit to Tikal. It is situated on the picturesque, quaint little island on Lake Peten Itza. It is just a 5 minute drive to the Flores airport, which was why we chose it for our stay before our early morning flight back to Guatemala City. This hotel is a very good... More

This hotel is in a great location in Flores. We had a second floor room with a view of Lake Peten Itza which has the most gorgeous sunset I've ever seen. The room was clean, had great air conditioning and a television with a lot of stations. This hotel met all of our basic needs. The only drawback I can... More

This was my second trip to the Peten region of Guatemala, and the second time for me to stay at the Hotel Santana. The staff has little to no functional English skills, but are still very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant also serves a decent breakfast, although next door at the Hotel Peten, the breakfast is better (especially the plantanos).... More
