We found this place by chance after a long days drive. The building was originally built as an art deco radio station which has been transformed into a small hotel and restaurant whilst retaining the art deco period features and theme through out. The restaurant is truly amazing, if you want steak and chips or a burger you are at... More

Lovely hotel with good parking, love,y beds, unusual art deco rooms and an amazing resturant. Very good value for money and the best cheese board that I've had in 20years of traveling in France. Highly recommended.

I staid twice in this hotel over a short period of time. The second time was somewhat disappointing as the room was rather dull and plain compared to the first stay. Request one of the renovated rooms to enjoy the atmosphere that welcomes you once you enter the hallway and adjacent public areas (bar, restaurant) in the hotel. Although we... More

My wife and I spent 6 days at this hotel in August. The room was confortable and views appealing. The wireless was fine. But the main point is the staff. They were the perfect hosts. Gracious. Attentive. Friendly. Made us feel perfectly at home. The hotel is in a residential area nice to walk through, and near a park, spas... More

A great find for an overnight stop. A wonderful Art Deco hotel, beautifully looked after. The rooms are very comfortable with views out over the city.We had a very friendly welcome and a lovely room. The food was amazing, not cheap but well worth the money. We tried the Menu Degustation and it was wonderful. Food that would grace any... More

When I read other reviews of this hotel I think we stayed at different hotels. This hotel was definitely less of a standard than all other 3 star French hotels we have stayed in recent years. I thought the decor rather than quirky was "tied". The staff were not friendly nor helpful which in a 4 week holiday entirely in... More

I knew that climb up the Puy de Dome would do for me for clearly I have died and, by some incredible bureaucratic foul up, the sins of my former life have gone unreported and I have somehow sneeked into heaven. For those who have not been there recently the Puy de Dome is no longer easily accessible by car.... More

The Hotel Radio was decorated in the original art deco style throughout. We were two families sharing 5 rooms between us. All were different and all charming. Best of all was the restaurant. We had the 50 Euro menu and have never enjoyed a meal more. The table centrepiece was made of sweets, the bread was served on blocks of... More

The Le Radio is located in a high-class neigborhood of Clermont-Ferrand on a hill overlooking the town and close to the road that leads into the volcanic district. The hotel is a living museum. It is completely in original and carefully restored art deco style. The rooms are small but very tastefully decorated. The restaurant is also in art deco... More
