We stayed here this week and had a fabulous stay! Everything was great.... From the decor to continental breakfast and the backyard garden. John is a knowledgable host who gave us advice on what to see and do during our stay in Seattle. I'd stay with him again in a heartbeat!

I've been in my share of B&Bs, and this is the best yet. My room was the huge one in the attic, gorgeously appointed and so, so quiet. John is a virtual Yellow Pages of information on Seattle and the most welcoming host you can imagine; conversations with him were among the trip's highlights. My friends and I felt so... More

Foxglove is a jewel box perfectly fitted to Seattle's laid back quality and easy hospitality. Location is superb, with downtown, the Lake, ferries, UW and Seattle's famous parks all within short distances. Public transportation at your fingertips if no car. But you may not want to leave. This home is an archetype of excellent style and taste. Each room is... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights to begin a road trip and it set us up very nicely. John, the owner, has excellent local knowledge and prepares a tasty continental breakfast. The house, in the leafy Capitol Hill area, is full of character and our double room with en-suite shower was very comfortable. We parked outside on the... More

Just loved our stay at the Foxglove guest house. John, the owner, was very welcoming and gave us very helpful information about the area (Restaurants, parks, bus schedule etc) as well as a map. The house and gardens are simply beautiful and we felt very much at home. Breakfast was delicious, with a vast choice of delicious fresh fruits, cereals... More

Just finished a 3-day stay at Foxglove. Lovingly restored, beautifully maintained craftsman style house with lush, colorful gardens. John is a delightful and resourceful host; has plenty of practical suggestions (from nearby restaurants to bus schedule times) and knows Seattle well. Continental breakfast (plenty of fresh options) at the common table with other guests was leisurely and hospitable. Plus the... More

I would not normally write a review but our stay was so good I felt I must. The house and gardens were superb and we were made to feel very welcome. The continental breakfast really set us up for the day, particularly John's home made scones. I even got gardening tips thrown in free of charge. All restaurant advice was... More

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for 2 nights earlier this month and had a lovely time. The house is beautifully maintained and the decor is well thought out. For a continental breakfast, it was very good with fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, coffee/tea/milk, muffins, croissants, cheese and boiled eggs. Normally, we stay downtown when visiting Seattle but we... More

Don't expect to get what you reserve at the Foxglove. After confirming twice and calling ahead to speak with the owner, I arrived with no message of the room change, nobody answered the doorbell for 1 1/2 hours and then I was greeted with an indignant attitude. The B&B looked lovely inside and even the tiny room in the attic... More

First of all I would like to thank this guest for taking the time to write a review on our property. Trip Advisor is perhaps our most valuable resource not only for our own personal travel but for our prospective guests. We have always been very happy members. I had to run a quick errand (grocery store) when this guest... More

We have been to John's place 4 times over the past 4 or 5 years. We have been met with the same welcoming spirit each time, so we can truly say it's like coming to visit a good friend! John is a great host and offered to get us our special yoghurt for each of the 3 days we stayed... More
