This was our first hotel after 12 hours of travel - we were dog tired and just wanted to sleep. However this room overlooks the junction of a busy road and an even busier bar opposite. We were kept awake into the wee small hours by raucous revelry seemingly right outside our window with swearing, singing and a police bust... More

We stayed here the night after a cruise and my parents stayed two nights. It was in a great central location, easy to get to from where we picked up our luggage by walking. The staff were very helpful at check in and in recommending places to eat. We were upgraded to a suite which was nice and large, though... More

We stayed here two nights following a cruise. We chose the hotel based on location and it was a resonable price. We also liked the idea that is was older and a part of Anchorage History. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable of the area and local things to do. The rooms were dated but clean and the... More

We spent 3 nights at the Historic Anchorage Hotel. We had a mini-suite and enjoyed the restoration of the hotel. The bathroom was small, but everything was immaculate. The front desk people provided maps, restaurant recommendations, directions, and answered all questions. Parking is available at a city lot for $10 for 24 hours....very reasonable and a very short walk away.... More

This hotel is very old and dingy and I thought the bathroom was gross. The only thing good about this hotel was the location...we could walk to the nearby restaurants and shops. I would definitely not stay here again. We stayed here on our 1st night during our AK trip...this did not leave a good impression of Anchorage, thankfully it... More

It was a very nice room & good service. A small room refrig. would have been nice for the massive restaurant leftovers:) Nice to have real cups & glasses in room. Walking distance to downtown attractions a plus. More

There is a lot of history with this hotel. As we returned to the hotel after dinner there was a man in a top hat leading a tour titled "Ghosts of Anchorage". He was telling his couple dozen tour members about Sydney Laurence, maybe one of the most famous Alaska artists. I will leave it up to you to look... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Historic Anchorage Hotel and the location is wonderful! Close to the outdoor weekend market, running trails, and restaurants. We enjoyed being able to walk to places downtown. More

Quite a pleasant hotel with a great location downtown. Everything in downtown is in walking distance. The room was clean and had Wifi access. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was sufficient - not much choice - but at least included in the room rate; great if you enjoy waffles. More
