Hotel was a good value if you are able to get it for cheap. Beds are super hard! Hot tub was broke. The smell in the hotel was old but you get used to it. Overall okay. More

We stayed here with our family while my wife attended a conference in Springfield. The rooms were small but decent. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel is a nice touch. The hotel was a bit dated but clearly they're working on that, with some aspects - e.g. bedding, lobby - appearing updated, while others need work - e.g. restaurant, elevators. The... More

I stayed here as part of a conference for 4 nights. I was also the organizer, so I had made reservations for the whole group, as well as the meeting room space for one day. I am NOT a meeting planner or assistant (not a slam, just not my skill set or knowledge base), but the sales department was great... More

It had been a few years since I had stayed at this property, I wasn't thrilled with it before, it was dirty and showed too much wear. They have done a lot of work and the overall appearance is much improved. The rooms look better, with nicer amenities. There is an 'old' smell to the property, and someone should try... More

This hotel is just a couple blocks from the Lincoln Museum so the location is perfect. The lobby and dining room were newly renovated and are really beautiful with a sunny southern exposure. We requested a corner room and were given a room that viewed the capital dome - really nice. Room was newly remodeled and fine. The bathroom however... More

This hotel is a beautiful historic building. Our room had been updated and was tastefully designed. The bathroom is small, but more than adequate.(size is typical of this era hotel) The service personnel were extremely professional while being friendly and helpful. It's in a great location, right in the heart of downtown. The lobby area is lovely and large. My husband... More

The bed was the best part of this hotel. It's a pretty far walk away from the Capitol so if you are lobbying you may want something closer. More

I've stayed at this hotel on business 5 times in the last year and a half. I would not stay here by choice because it is dirty. This time when I arrived the toilet had fecal matter on it. I called housekeeping but if it was cleaned, it looked the same. I changed rooms. Then I took down a blanket... More

Good points: The hotel is a short walk to major tourist sites (e..g, Lincoln Museum, Lincoln home, Lincoln Law office, Old State Capitol) and a short drive to other sites (e.g., Dana- Thomas House, State Capitol). The hotel has a nice looking, clean lobby with lots of area to sit and visit. The room was excellent with a comfortable bed,... More

I recently stayed here two nights on business. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet and clean (except for some mildew along the bottom of the shower curtain). TV in the room worked fine. Bath towels were big and thick. The front-desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Easy walk to Lincoln sites and government buildings. Quite a... More
