It's an older facility but in good shape and, best of all, is run by people who care. We had two minor problems and both were handled far quicker than we expected. Overall, it's a basic Courtyard but the hospitality puts it a notch above what you'd expect.

I was pleasantly pleased with the layout the room and the comfort of the bed. I appreciated the room controlled thermostat and quiet heating system. This is one of the better hotels that I've stayed at in the last 6 months and I look forward to returning.

A nice Marriott in Richmond's new West End near shopping and I-64. What made this Marriott special was the special attention of Stephanie, the Concierge Lounge evening manager. She was cheerful, spoke to everyone and kept the beverages and food well stocked. I travel a lot and would rate Stephanie one of the best Concierge Lounge managers that Marriott has.

Showed up without a reservation...was pleasantly surprised to see a new Lobby and newly decorated rooms....nice surprise after hours of driving. Grabbed late dinner at bistro...server not exceptionally friendly but food came out quickly. The front desk attendant was quite pleasant..would stay again.

This is a very standard Courtyard. We stayed here on the way to DC and got in later than expected. No problems- we were still welcomed and given a perfectly clean room. We travel to Richmond frequently to visit family and were surprised to find the hotel renovation nearly completed - lobby and rooms. My husband and I stayed in this Marriott in January of 2013 while attending an exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, which is about ten minutes away. The hotel had just been redone.
