My two children (5 and 8) and I stayed here one night after visiting Manzanar on our way home from Death Valley. I chose this lodging based on reviews and wasn't disappointed. Our little cabin, while small and simple, was charming and very clean with much attention to the comfort of guests. I only met Hennrietta briefly because she is... More

We stayed here for one night in September, on the way to Las Vegas. We had read a couple of reviews on here and decided it was the ideal place to use as a stopover. We arrived to be greeted by Henrietta, the most wonderful lady, who owns and runs the place. She puts so much work into the place... More

We had two families staying in 2 separate cabains. The cabins were functional and clean. Beds were comfy. Plenty of windows to open for that wonderful mountain air. The freshly cooked breakfast was terrific. Our hostess was helpful in directing us to things to do in the area We were there for the film festival in Lone Pine so it... More

I showed up at the hotel without a reservation late in the day after hiking. All I wanted was a clean nice place to sleep. That's exactly what was provided. Each "room" is actually a tiny tiny cabin...big enough for one queen sized bed, a 13" tv, no telephone or internet, and a bathroom. The owner was a very kind... More

Although I read reviews often when buying something, traveling, etc...I never write reviews myself. Mt. Williamson called for me to break this streak and comment on something that should be recognized and lauded: the hospitality and warmth with which you are welcomed here every time you stay. I've stayed here 3-4 times over the past couple of years and every... More

Henriette and Paul are great people and offer hospitality and a great breakfast too! Okay, it's not the Ritz, but provides a clean room, good home cooked breakfast and nice conversation. If you need a place to stay while you enjoy the sights around the area I hardily recommend Mr. Williamson Motel Fern and Paul Benson Chico, CA More

Basic, clean amenities with the added bonus of breakfast cooked by your hostess. We enjoyed the cabins and the interaction with the other guests at breakfast. Definitely appreciate this little jewel More

The location was perfect for learning about Manzanar (the National Historic Site of an internment camp for many unfortunate Americans of Japanese ancestry during WWII) and other parks in the region. The inn seemed popular with hikers from all over the world. The cabin met basic needs, with solid beds. More

Yes, Henrietta is a very nice lady and the breakfast is OK, BUT...expect very BASIC accommodations at a fairly overpriced rate. It was very warm when we were there, with only a noisy wall A/C unit making it hard to sleep. Beds were just barely comfortable. We would have hoped for much more as our "camping" days are behind us. As a single middle-aged woman solo traveler, I appreciate staying in places that are quiet, safe, and comfortable. At Mt. Williamson Motel I found all three. My son, who is a mountain climber and biker, has stayed here many times over the years and recommended it. Henrietta could not have been more welcoming! Cabin #5 is absolutely adorable, cozy, extremely... More
