“Why Woodstock? and this is actually 1830 Shiretown Inn”

I know Woodstock as a location gets some positive reviews but I stayed here to see it and I must say that except for a few tourist shops and overpriced restaurants that's it. On to the review. My husband & I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in 1998 & by chance & referal, we chose to stay at the 1830 Shiretown Inn. My husband and I spent 2 weeks this summer touring Vermont and staying in lovely B and B's with the exception of this one. Our decision was to pay $150.00 or less per night and the Shire Town Inn seemed like a good choice on the website. Well located in upscale Woodstock, we should have immediately left when the owner...
