The lodge is a great spot for exploring Mesa Verde. Ask for an upgraded Kiva room. Some rooms have views. The rooms are small with 2 very comfy double Beds with a nice comforter and good pillows. Coffee maker and refrigerator are also in the rooms. More

While the rooms are 60's vintage park service, with relatively thin walls, we found everything to be comfortable and clean. Each room has a private balcony, from which one can enjoy great views. While the location of the Far View Lodge was very convenient to the park activities, the quality of the accomodation compared to the price (about $120 per night) was not favorable. The exterior needed painting and the interior bath area desperately needed an update. Would not recommend to anyone. More

We stayed here one night after touring the Mesa Verde sites. The room was 'refurbished' (others await refurbishment) and had spectacular views over the Mesa Verde and beyond to show-topped mountains.
