I had heard only good things about the Parador de Siguenza before going but it didn't live up to my expectations on a number of levels. 1. Good points; it's a stunning restored castle with plenty of history. Lounge areas are very attractive with a big roraring fire in the winter and armoured suits here and there lending to its... More

Stayed one night in October. Beautiful setting. Parking also better than expected. Room a bit small and dark but comfortable. Restaurant just OK. Local town fascinating and crying out for sensitive restoration of the immediate area around the fortress. More

Believe everything you read about the miserable attitude of the staff .....some of them have a shocking approach to customers which actually put us off using the bar. The property itself is oustanding though but one night there is more than enough because everything the town has to offer can be seen in a few hours. Breakfast was good with... More

We were looking for a typical Spanish holiday, one with more Spaniards than expats, and this place was recommended by a colleague. We were really impressed with the property and the area. The Spanish Paradors are real gems- they were set up in the 1920's as high end accommodation with many being in old castles and specializing in serving food... More

The parador is situated on a hill overlooking the city. It is a beautifully remodeled castle that retain most of its glory, yet it's a very confortable hotel. The surrounding area has maintain its old appearance, but there are some houses that are a bit run down. There are not too many shops around the parador, but there is a... More

In a nutshell: nice for one night if you are a castle lover or want a different hotel setting, but eat in the city and do not expect 5-star service. At almost 200 euros per night (superior room, accommodation only), this is not a bargain hotel, but it makes for a nice one-night stay if you are looking for a... More

This Parador is absolutely stunning. The public areas are beautifully designed and decorated and there is a lovely small garden in an extremely large courtyard. We had a fantastic suite which had been decorated with care and with entirely appropriate furniture which had been carefully selected to match the ancient interior. The staff at reception were exceptionally polite and helpful.... More

Don't get me wrong, this is a very interesting place to stay, but the 4 stars and the pricing is over the top. Cleanliness was so so, and the fact that they had old furniture (to match the medieval castle style) did not hel either. Small windows and lack of a/c did not help with comfort. If you wish spend... This hotel definitely has an awe factor. Recommended to us by family we stayed at the end of May in the off peak season. The hotel is absolutely stunning and the renovation work done from the castle ruins is amazing. The room was clean, modern and comfy, with spectacular views over the town and countryside beyond. Some people mentioned about... More

The Parador at Siguenza highlights the joys and problems of the Parador model. On the one hand how else do you get to stay in an 8th century Moorish castle; on the other, do you want to? In practice we would have been glad to stay here a night as it would be a shame to miss it if you... More
