The owners of this hotel are lovely, and very helpful. The old mariner's house is large and cool, with a big leafy courtyard in the centre. Each room has been individually designed and they have a slightly Asian flavour to them. If you are a fan of very modern luxury hotels this probably won't be for you, but it is... More

I stayed at this hotel for a yoga weekend. Lovely family atmosphere, family, rabbits and cats. Room clean, food excellent!! Would definitely return! Right in the centre of the old town - so great location for historical sites, shopping, port, and the beach! More

We got a cheap deal so probably got the worst room in the hotel. Had it not been for the lovely staff would have only given 2. Make sure you get a room that over looks the court yard. The noise from the street from rubbish collections and street cleaning were terrible and requires ear plugs. The mattress as mentioned... More

My sister and I recently spent a week at the Hotel Chamarel. We have visited Denia many times and stayed at many different hotels. This is definitely our favourite. Another visitor described the Chamarel as 'shabby chic' and I think this is a very apt description. It is, nonetheless, lovely and clean and has some really interesting original features and... More

We stayed in room 101, a suite with a balcony. This was inexpensive and spacious; in fact we loved the room. The balcony is small, and overlooks the shady courtyard. The Chamarel is in an excellent location near the old part of Denia, with a choice of reasonably priced tapas restaurants nearby. It is as far away from a modern,... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Hotel Chamarel. There were very few guests and we practically had the old building to ourselves. The hotel had a certain charm and the phrase " faded elegance" springs to mind when thinking of a way to describe it. The staff were charming and the food was fine. All in... More

As someone more use to staying in business hotels this was a fantastic experience. Clearly the owners have spent a lot of time designing and decorating the hotel with antiques and art. We booked our room on the net and were allocated a room with two single beds but they changed it for a double without a problem. The rooms... More
