I had occasion to stay in the Sandy area as I was attending a reunion of 'old' agricultural students at nearby Shuttleworth College (we were all there in the 1960's!). Terry and Keith were excellent hosts and the room was immaculate with everything you could ask for. The breakfast (I had the 'full English') was superb. Nothing was too much... More

My husband and I have just come back from a fantastic stay at the River Lodge. We couldnt have been happier with our choice, the place itslef is so pretty and quaint, we had everything we needed and more, the grounds at the back of the house are beautiful. We had a great nights sleep both nights and the breakfast... More

We had a 2 night stay in April 2012 primarily to visit the shuttleworth collection, which is only a 10 min drive from Sandy. We arived late afternoon to a warm welcome and were shown to a room at the rear of the house. The room (sage) was immaculate, it looked a little small possibly because of the enormous bed,... More

What more is there to say? All we require is that a place be pretty, clean and friendly, and this place is all of that and more. The really striking thing is how the refurbishment of the house for B&B use was done with such high-quality materials. Though the rooms are a bit small (and the beds, if you're used... More

We had an overnight stay before travelling down to London. Hospitallity was great and the breakfast was spot on.Well cooked and good quality. The bed in the Sage room is like sleeping on a cloud and the facilities are great , but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to make use of them.would highly recommend.Thanks. we really loved our too short stay in this gem of a b and b. Our host Terrie was really lovely and friendly. Her breakfasts second to none. Rooms were perfect with everything we needed. We were only sorry our stay was so short. More

I stayed at the River Lodge for 8 nights whilst taking part in a training course in nearby Moggerhanger. I deliberately chose a Bed and Breakfast over a hotel as I did not relish the thought of staying in an impersonal hotel and am so glad i chose to do so. Terry and Keith were so welcoming and what they... More

Terry & Keith were excellent hosts, even though Terry was a little poorly at the time. The rooms and ensuite were very clean and tidy and everything is provided for your stay. They were helpful with advice on places to visit and where to eat in the evening. The local Chinese restaurant was only a short walk from the B&B... More

We chose River Lodge as it is close to the centre of Sandy, and we wanted to walk to and back from a party in town that night. Our room was just perfect, nicely furnished and with a luxurious ensuite bathroom. We felt very comfortable, and our hosts were very helpful. Would definitely recommend, hope this helps other visitors, Olwen... More
