We have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The food is first class and the service is excellent. It isn't cheap but rates along with a Michelin starred restaurant we have eaten in and beats hands down a restaurant overseen by one of thetop TV chefs. More

Went to a wedding here. It would have been better if there had been somebody in charge to move people from room to room. The photographer did more to with regard to this than the staff did. Also, no paper towels, towels or hand dryer working in the Gents toilets. Not good when we were eating there. Nobody in charge... More

Lunch in the conservatory. Entered the main hotel reception area and directed down a dark and gloomy corridor. Arrived in a rather dreary pub type bar area which added to my reservations about what was to come. However, staff were attentive and polite when serving pre lunch drinks. Menu had a good range of choices. When the meal was ready... More

Thank you B P, for your Tripadvisor review, they say first impressions count, so I apologisetreat we failed on this occasion. I always try and take an objective view of all reviews, knowing that someone who takes the trouble to feedback is in the long run helping my business, however, never before have I in the last 20 plus years... I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions (Christmas, new years and wedding anniverasies) and eaten at the restaurant alot. The hotel rooms are large with a large comfortable bed, dressing table, tv, little table with chair, large wardrobes and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are clean and smell fresh. The bathrooms are of a good size... More

Found this one purely by chance for a quick, relaxing get away. The setting is beautiful - even through the april showers. Beside the canal , with a pretty lake in front and lovely gently walks around. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel was comfortably designed and well kept. The dining room, and bar areas were very pleasant,... More

Spent one night here after a gourmet meal in their loveley conservatory restaurant. The room was large well decorated and spotless, well worth the money. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good with plenty of choice. Grounds are loveley for a stroll with duck ponds and overlooking the canal. More

Went there for one night, wth dinner at the informal bar-restaurant. Food was great and at a reasonable price, service was only acceptable but did not ruin the experience. the reception girl could not have been nicer! The hotel room we got was in a quiet enough location to mute the very loud noise from the wedding being held there.... More

I came to the Moathouse last night with my partner and another couple. It was our first visit but our friends had been before and recommended it. We arrived just after 7pm to advantage of the Earlybird menu and enjoyed starters, sorbet, mains, dessert and tea/coffee for about £25. With drinks on top it came to £35 per head. The... More

I have stayed in this hotel a few times now and am very impressed overall. Good quality rooms with a nice feel. The staff are very freindly and the bar and restaurant are of a good standard. Probably one of the best breakfasts I've had too. More

Iron0710 Thanks for your review, I have passed on your praise to Simon our breakfast chef. Room 107 - I take you point that it should possible be a junior suite, it has a great terrace next to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, ideal for a lazy evening watching the boats go past, but as you say you can also...
