Monmouth plantation has pretty grounds but is not worth the price. The overall feel is gimmicky. We stayed for one night in May in a deluxe suite. The room was clean. Superbly restored mansion dating back to 1818. We were treated like very honourable guests in a unique historic property. Very well managed with a friendly staff. Hotel, restaurant, gardens ... all competing for the best experience ever. What a treat! Sure "the" place to go while staying in Natchez if you can spend an extra dollar for an unforgettable experience.

The house has it all - what a wow factor. The bedrooms are great (we stayed in an antebellum room in the main house) but I would say the bathrooms need updating. We just spent 1 night at Monmouth in May on a tour through LA, MS, and AL. The entire hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is amazing, the rooms are comfortable and unique, and the breakfast (we didn’t eat dinner), and drinks were perfect!
