We where not happy with the visit to your lodge to say the least and feel we did not receive in full value of what we paid for. 1. The food portions were very minimal very small from what we expect from a luxury lodge 2. The boat broke down causing us to miss the patriots at the patriot lick... More

It is very hard for me to try and describe how incredibe the Sani Lodge is. It's authenticity and people of the Sani Tribe are truly something one can only experience. This is not a lounging vacation though. If you want 5 star hotel and relaxation of sitting around this is not for you. But if you want to truly... More

If you want an authentic jungle experience this is it. First, I was very impressed with the common areas both in elagance and views. ESPECIALLY considering the location. Second, we got our own two guides for just three of us and we got to choose our schedule. Sure the guides arent textbook bookworms but they have lived in the area... More

I was at Sani Lodge as a sole traveler for 3 nights and 4 days. My experience was incredible for the following reasons: - it is run exclusively by the local Kichwa community - it is deep inside the jungle which makes for spectacular caiman/parrot/monkey/snake/spider/etc. watching - the accommodation is VERY comfortable, spotless AND has Wi-Fi if you choose to... You have read other reviews describing in detail what Sani is all about. We chose Sani because it is run and managed by the local tribe, plus appeared to be the best value for money. United mislaid one of our bags. We arrived in Quito at 11 pm and left for Sani at 7 am next day. We thought that... More

I can't imagine a better place for an Amazon Jungle experience. Everything was exceptional, staff was great, a very enjoyable and memorable experience. The only issue we had, we didn't have hot water in our original room so we had to change. The room we were in first was nicer, but didn't matter w/o no hot showers. Other than that,... More

After a 2.5 hr boat ride down river in the rain, we hiked 0.5 km to a canoe and were paddled to the lodge by our guide for the duration, Domingo and his sidekick. A most magical place with birds everywhere - many more Hoatzins than we'd every expected. There is a nice bar and restaurant with very good food.... More

I live in Quito and my sister and her boyfriend were coming to visit in early January, so we wanted to take them on an Amazon tour, not too rustic. I wanted to take them to the Yasuni area as well, because I had never been and I wanted to visit before the oil companies destroy it :-( I found... More

This was my second trip to Sani and it was just as wonderful. I went with a middle school class. The guides are wonderful and the kids all had a blast!!!!!! The staff go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one. Food was wonderful, the cabins comfortable, our guides and naturalists never let us down. If the... More

I travelled solo to Sani in early March 2013 and had a wonderful stay for five days and four nights. The biological diversity is amazing and the people who work there provide excellent service. Although I am particularly interested in birds there are opportunities to enjoy diversity of fauna and flora in every way. Birding guide brothers Domingo and Guillermo... More
