My husband and I stayed in the self contained studio/room for 2 nights and we could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation! This was our first stay in a B&B so we were not 100% sure of what to bring with us - do we need to bring our own towels? Do we need to bring our own hairdryer? Do we need to bring our own shampoos and conditioners? Worry not travellers, Sarah and David have put some serious thoughts into this place! We arrived on a slightly chilly afternoon and we were greeted with a pre-heated room (an instant tick for me). It looks like the room had been updated as it looks different from the photos I have seen online (same layout, but now with new furniture). The bed was the first thing that caught my attention. It was beautifully presented and looked incredibly inviting. On the bed were 2 sets of fresh towels, shampoos and conditioners, and soaps. The room comes with an almost full size kitchen and has just about everything you will need - from fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric cooktop, coffee maker, to a whole suite of crockery and cutlery, you name it! There was also milk in the fridge for teas and coffees. I was particularly impressed with what I had found in the ensuite. Not only did it come with a hairdryer, it also came with really good quality toilet paper for those with sensitive bottoms and... wait for it... individual packs of witch hazel & aloe vera make-up remover!!!!! To me this is pretty amazing as you don't even get that in 5-star hotels. The room itself was perfect in my opinion, but wait there is more! Apart from the room you also get to access the outdoor deck area where there is a jacuzzi and a BBQ. My favourite area is definitely the super cosy lounge. I loved everything in the lounge, the decor, the cathedral ceiling, the comfy couch set, the huge collection of DVDs to choose from, and THE FIREPLACE!! Nothing beats a quiet night in by the fire, so relaxing, so tranquil. Sarah and David are amazing hosts, lovely to chat with. They are around just enough to make sure that you have everything that you are after, but the rest of the time you will feel like you are in a little piece of paradise all on your own. The location is fantastic, about 2 minutes drive from Gallery Walk so it is very close to all the attractions. And yet it is also situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, so that you are away from any noise, perfect for people like me who went up to the mountain specificly for some peace and quiet time. This stay has definitely exceeded all our expectations and we cannot wait to get back there again.…
