Very friendly helpful owner with typical laid back NZ temperament. Spacious site with comfortable lodges laid out to good effect. Plenty of garden space with picnic tables. Free range chickens! Walking distance to small town.

We had two nights here to do the fox glacier walk. We arrived late which was no problem even sorting out change for the laundry twice was no trouble. Rooms are warm and comfortable, can cook in if you want and there is everything you need. Very pleasant stay would recommend many times.

We found this place great for our family. Quite simple but neat and tidy and well stocked with kitchen things and good heaters. Owners were friendly and helpful and kindly bought us down a box of toys for our baby without being asked. we would recommend.

We stayed after driving down from Greymouth, as a stop over before a glacier hike the next day. Located almost in the shadow of the Glacier and a two minute walk from the main road in Fox - so a nice easy walk to the restaurants and shops in the little town.
