First the pros: Stunning rooms full of wood, clean with amazing views. We felt like we were in Germany again. The kitchen is well stocked and everything in the room works well including the fireplace. The Cons: The room picks up all the noises from other rooms, especially bathroom fans. These fans range anywhere from dull roars to siren like... More

This review was very helpful in that it pointed out a couple of issues that we need to address. We did find one exhaust fan in the ceiling below the guests room that needed to be replaced and another exhaust fan plus heater fan in the room next door that don't like being on at the same time. Something about... More

We booked 3 nights on our 50th wedding anniversary trip and added a 4th after we arrived. The Inn was everything we needed, comfortable bed, kitchenette, nice large jacuzzi, fireplace, and great view of the mountains. It was peaceful and relaxing, and close to downtown shops and restaurants - also minutes from Rocky Mt National Park. The Sweetheart Loft studio... More

Really cute hotel in the heart of Estes Park. Pro: extremely clean, comfy beds, good location, reasonable prices. Con: extremely anal owners (they asked my fiancé and I whether we were smokers at least four times---they do not allow smoking, which is understandable, but their incessant questioning bordered on rudeness), outdated bathrooms, old TVs. I'd come back. Very reminiscent of... More

We're pleased that our guests found their stay enjoyable. There are times at check-in when we are suspicious about whether a potential guest is a smoker; either an aroma or a reluctance to answer the question. We don't enjoy irritating a sensitive guest, but we really hate having to enforce our no-smoking policy, which includes a fine, possible eviction, and... More

My wife and I just had our second meal at Strudels. Great ambiance, friendly service, and the food - breakfast - was memorable. We recommend it to everyone. We came with a group of chums to Pasta Night last week, and it, too, was a fine experience. Intimate, well appointed room, and it's just nice. Don't miss this little corner... More

Strudels has been open since last July and the positive response from our new guests has been very rewarding. We continue to try new menu items and special nights to see what works best at different times of the year. We are also hiring more staff so that we can maintain a relaxed atmosphere while still providing timely service when... More

My husband and I have stayed at Appenzell Inn twice, both times for wedding anniversary weekends. This is a perfect place for a couples romantic stay. We stay in one of the Grindel Suites, which have a small kitchen, fireplace, two person jacuzzi tub and king size bed. The hotel is clean and the owners are very personable, always willing... More

We truely appreciate constructive reviews from our guests, especially when they are positive. Good reviews are a blessing and a curse. They are rewarding and good for business but they also put pressure on us to not only maintain, but exceed expectations. We'll do our best and thank you. More

December 2011 - My experience with the owner of this property was very disappointing. I booked a stay, paid, and then came by to look at the property for a possible wedding and was turned away by the owner over the intercom. I called the owner to let them know I did not appreciate how I was treated and that... More

We were hoping the guest would have retracted this review by now as we thought the situation was resolved amicably. This guest booked a room online and on the arrival date they showed up at 12:20 when check-in time is 3:00 PM. They contacted the owner via paging phone at the door and said they wanted to have a tour... More

We stayed at Appenzel the year they first opened, a few years later and in August of 2011. the property is well situated to be walkable to downtown nicely kept and the suite rooms with Jaccuzi is the perfect place to be after all day hiking. They add little touches like reminding people about quiet time and respecting the other... More

Staying at the Appenzell was the best decision made on our trip. Our suite was so clean, even the bedspread looked and smelled fresh. Large balcony right out our door, huge jacuzzi tub, good sized kitchen, and a comfy rocking chair by the fireplace. It was nice to come home to every night. We stayed this past summer when the... Over the years we have stayed at Appenzell's three times. It is very clean very accessible to Estes Park. The swimming pool, small kitchenette, in-room hot tub and fireplace make this a very comfortable stay. There are several rooms and I recommend one on the second floor facing West. The inn does have a number of rules you must follow... More

The hotel is kind of tucked away and a little hard to find. He rooms are super small, perfect for 1-2 people, but never would 3 people fit. Our room was supposed to have a fireplace, which it did, but it didn't work. The jacuzzi bath was nice and actually fit two people. Again, nothing special, but okay for one... More
