Paca de Paja is located in the outskirts of Tucson in 'raw' desert! This B&B is set in the quietness of the desert. There are short paths to walk, cacti to see, quiet settings to sit and enjoy the sounds of the desert and watch the variety of birds at the various bird feeders. Caroline, the owner and your hostess,... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Paca de Paja B&B outside Tucson in late April. What a fantastic place! Caroline is the perfect hostess: knowledgeable, organized, friendly, flexible, tactful. As a birdwatcher, I often find B&Bs trying places to stay, because the breakfast hour is usually right when you want to be birding. But she'll serve breakfast... More

We came to Tucson during the high season and wanted to avoid the expensive prices in town during the Gem and Mineral show. I didn't mind driving 45 minutes outside of downtown Tucson if it meant we could stay somewhere more serene. Well, serenity we found at Paca de Paja. For an aesthete like me, I was so pleased with... I won't repeat the other reviews but this is a very charming B & B southwest of Tucson. The owner is very hospitable and accommodating with extensive knowledge of the area. Breakfasts were delicious - perfect for me. The guest rooms were very spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of outdoor living space as well. This is the closest lodging... More

We stayed 7 nights in March 2012. Our space was almost 1/2 the house. Caroline was very knowledgeable of the area and suggested many day trips which turned out to be just what we wanted. Would stay here again - we loved this accomodation.

Agree with all that has been written about Paca de Paya, and Caroline, the property owner. The property is charming, tastefully decorated, and in an incredibly peaceful and beautiful location. Given the elevation, there are endless views over the Tucson plains towards distant peaks in all directions. There is a sense of tranquility that pervades the property both inside and... More

This beautiful home in the Sonoran desert was the result of years of planning while Caroline lived in Park Ranger accommodations. She is gracious and open in sharing her knowledge of the area and a healthy, abundant breakfast in addition to the lovely and spacious bedroom plus adjacent sitting area. The nearby steakhouse she suggested was excellent. Location is 25... More

We chose B&B Paca de Paja as we wanted to visit Mt Kitt observatory and this B&B was relatively close instead of driving to Tucson at night. The guest area has a very comfortable bedroom plus ensuite bathroom, an adjacent living/relaxing area and a very nice patio from which guests can observe the wonderful desert flora and fauna. Breakfasts were... More
