We have been going to Elkhorn Ranch for many years, and if you include my parents, children and grandchildren for generations. We like its location at the base of the Baboquivari Mountains, the riding in the mountains or on the desert, the food and accommodations and above all the people. The ranch's website and the Tripadvisor guest comments give a... More

My family has been going to Elkhorn Ranch for about 50 years and we have always loved it for the warm and friendly atmosphere the Miller family has created all these years. We have had all ages with us and we all have a good time, whether it's my 90 yo mother who loves the people and the chance to... More

I've been to the Elkhorn several times over the past 20 years and I'm pleased to report that it never changes. I've heard it said that wilderness is the greatest luxury. If that's the case, then the Elkhorn is exceedingly luxurious! However, it's a subtle brand of luxury; no spa or marble bathtubs here (though you can get a massage!).... More

We enjoyed an absolutely amazing week at Elkhorn! If you enjoy being in nature, this is your place. Beautiful nature with mountain and dessert surrounding the ranch. We loved the concept of having meals on communal tables with open seating and there were always interesting conversations with people from all over and all ages. Everyone was open and interested in... More

Just got back from a week there. Spectacular views, universally wonderful people, and great rides for all age groups in the dessert and mountains. The wranglers are genuine and gracious and the rest of the staff is great too. We met folks from all over and all ages...this place is perfect for families and friends...go there...you'll love it!

My husband, 12 year old son and I stayed at the Elkhorn Ranch for a week at the end of February 2011. The ranch is in the middle of the desert surrounded by mountains. There is cactus and mesquite bushes everywhere. The food was homecooked and extremely plentiful. We enjoyed the meet and greet parties on Sunday and Thursday nights... More

I give this place an excellent rating! Beautiful, quite setting & landscape~ Rooms were great, food was excellent..beyond belief, staff and wranglers gave us full service, we could feed the birds on our patio...they provided the seed..saw many of the wildlife close up. Best horses and tack around....the trails whether in the mountains, or in the dessert were breath taking~... More

As others have said there is little to do at the ranch other than ride and ride we did. We were a group of gals some of which were long time friends and others joined in just for this trip. We are all trail riders who are accustomed to hours in the saddle over tough terrain. My main concern is... More

Elkhorn Ranch in Arizona was a wonderful warm January getaway from the cold and snow of Canada. As we drove down the long unpaved approach to the ranch, my partner and I could not stop marveling at the clear blue skies stretching from the desert horizon to the craggy mountain tops. More than an escape from winter and the chance... More

My children are 3rd generation returnees to the Elkhorn Ranch. I cannot say enough how much I and my kids love that place! Since others have said so much already, I'll try to say something new. It's located about a 90 minute drive from the Tucson airport, right by the Mexican border. It rests on about 10,000 acres, used to... More
