we had to stay at Motel 6 Benson Hwy Tucson because our motorhome broke down we had animals and knew 6 allowed them. I phoned and got a price for 2 rooms, $53.00 and $59.00. By the time we got there the price was $73 and $79 with senior discount. Had no choice but to take rooms. My husband could not walk. Non smoking room reeked of smoke. Just horrible and I was allergic. Took my dogs outside and there was dog stuff everywhere. Really disgusting. Tried vending machines which stole $3. Garbage piled beside overflowing garbage can. The room was ok but hallways dirty. I would give this a one star.

This place is ok - pretty basic, but clean. Has a pool and wifi, although wifi kept cutting out and only worked in some areas of the room. Ok for a short stay when travelling. Staff were helpful and friendly.

There are a lot of cheap hotels in the area $30 - $50 believe it or not this is on the high price side of Cheap in Tuscon. No Microwave (not even in the office), no refrigeration. Small Rooms. The should spruce the place up a bit and stop catering to the lowest of the low for clientele. You could probably get a cheaper room in the area with the same accommodations or better. NO WIFI, NO REFRIG, NO MICROWAVE, NO FRILLS

Can't really fault it, needed a place for the 22nd st gem show and this was ideal. It's a motel 6. if you're expecting amenities beyond a door, a bed, a desk, a TV and a toilet, this isn't for you. There's no coffee maker or microwave! That's fine. I didn't need em.:D There's a Circle K, and coffee/microwave in the reception area. The rooms are clean, the place is pretty quiet, and MOSt of the desk staff were great except the day female check in clerk was apparently very rude to my hosts who had booked the suite for me ( unware I guess that they speak fluent spanish as she does), but the evening guys had a much nicer attitude. Would stay here for future gem shows, for sure. ( mind you the lack of hot water for a shower was a surprise, but hey, a lukewarm shower in the desert is a heck of a wake up.)

After renting at Crosslands and getting a filthy room and bad service we were relieved to find availability at this hotel and the front desk staff where awesome. Really convenient and close to plenty of places to eat and close to the hospital.

cons- Door lock flip latch was missing. No microwave or fridge or coffee maker. Low water pressure. Several guests or passersby exchanging a "heated discussion" at a loud volume in the middle of the night. Tiny TV. Pay to use internet. Pros. Front desk guy was super friendly and helpful and nice. Recommended places to eat and even had coupons. Pretty nice location and close to food.

I gave this location a 4 star because of the effort they put out making their place work for me and my chemical sensitivities. Italia and Raquel worked to clean a room in the way that someone with my affection could stay here comfortably. I so appreciate it! If you're coming for the gem and mineral fest, this is an ideal location in the center of it all. With all the security and increased police presence in the neighborhood because of the show, it is a very safe place to stay. Don't know what it's like after the gem show, but i feel very comfortable staying here as a single women now. Also, everyone I've met at the front desk 4-5 folks by now, have all been very warm, helpful and professional. Thanks you Motel 6 for offering a safe place to stay at such a reasonable rate during your busiest time of year

Not recommended if you want a good night of sleep... The bed was very old and the blankets had cigarette burns. There was no shampoo or conditioner on the bathroom although it was clean. The price is really good but next time I'll rather pay little bit more!

The TV was the old style tube type. They did have decent cable service. The young man working the front desk was helpful with telling me how to get to the restaurant I was looking for. The room was clean and quiet which is all I'm looking for and the price was the best price you can find for a Motel 6 in any city I was visiting. I'm not going to complain. Good stay.
