I would recommend this hotel to anybody, except those who have their hearts set upon the Riverwalk. We stayed two nights in this hotel at the end of downtown, close to the famous market square. The pictures we saw in the internet when we booked did not really show the real thing. The hotel is quite old and only partly well-kept. The carpet was partly very dirty and smelled. Breakfast was OK.

For a Holiday Inn, this property is worn out, literally. The chairs in the restaurant and lounge are so worn the leather is worn off and cracked. The staff was excellent, the location for the price was fantastic, the beds were very comfortable and the hotel & room was very well cleaned. What more could you ask for? I will stay here on future visits to San Antonio.

I would recommend this hotel for anybody with reasonable expectations . The staff was responsive to every request and question I had. the first night I was there I think a trapped bird was on my balcony .Reported it and it was taken care of immediately! Got out of the shower shivering! Water restrictors made it difficult to shower, but tepid water was the worst I've experienced. The room was good and the AC was good. No complimentary breakfast. Staff did offer me a free shuttle over to The Alamo.
