The last couple of weekend at pats pub with Paul and Patrick have been the best service we recived there in a couple years.Both Paul and patrick have made the place fun, lively and the food has been great as well. More

“Great Service,So-So Food”

Treated the in-laws on the occasion of their 50th Anniversary,decor is nice,service is attentive.Baby Spinach Salad was good and crisp with warm cheese,pears and walnuts.Onion Soup was good but unexceptional.Swordfish over rice was average at best.Had some of my wifes Scallop appetizer and it was not good.We had a cake catered so I have no review of desserts.Definetly not worth... More

“A Hidden Jewel in Newport!”

A must try!!! The Canfield House has a few rooms upstairs but by all means go to the restaurant for the FOOD and the ambience. This former casino in the 1800's is a classy place for a romantic meal. The spinach salad with soaked pears and bacon vinaigrette was mouth watering, spicy crabcakes had a chipolte sauce, delicious RI style... More

We've been going to the Canfield House for years and on this last trip we were wowed to see the new menu and changes made by the new owner. I have been coming to Newport for years, and have been to every restaurant in town and what a find the new Canfield House is...Portions are perfect in quantity and lovely... More
