What a terrible experience my sister and I had yesterday at the Kahala 'Resort.' We live in Waikiki and usually go to the Royal Hawaiian for a nice sunset Mai Tai and some aps. Unfortunately, we decided to go to the bar at the Kahala. I'm giving it one star because the valet parkers were great, and the guy at... More

This hotel is about 30 min from town so you don't feel the business of the city. It's calm, serene, and beautiful. My room was a perfect size with one wall of sliding doors which we kept open to hear the ocean. The bed was so comfortable, I melted to sleep each night. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle... More

This is paradise. The entire family enjoyed it. Every person we met was friendly and helpful. The suite was divine and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. The food was delicious. The beach was gorgeous and we enjoyed Stand Up Paddle Boarding. We never tired of watching the dolphins in the lagoon. More

I stayed here for a business event. The resort property is beautiful. Our room was on the golf course side which felt tucked away and secluded which was nice. The room was gorgeous and very spacious. The bathroom was very nicely outfit as well. The highlight of the hotel property are the dolphin pools. I could sit and watch these... More

After having taken almost a ten year hiatus from the Hawaiian Islands it was an absolute delight to return to the legendary Kahala Resort . From the moment we pulled up into their circular driveway one could feel the understated mid-century elegance ,casual sophistication & warm aloha that exudes from the Kahala hotel & professional staff. Amazingly well kept throughout... More

Stayed 5 nights at the Kahala Resort. We had stayed before at the Outrigger Reef in Waikiki, and this time, for our wedding anniversary, decided to splurge a bit and stay at the Kahala. I guess I expected too much - from the reviews and from the photos online. Don't get me wrong - the room was beautiful, the mountain... More

My husband and I came to this resort 9 years ago on our honeymoon, and it may have been under different management at that time. We were in heaven then, and we were in heaven when we returned this month. The Kahala has timeless charm. Though you are near Waikiki for shopping, beach activites, and food - you feel a... More

We have just returned after a 8 night stay at the beautiful Kahala Resort (our second visit). Yes it is beautiful, the rooms luxurious, the beds so comfortable you would like to spend the day in them. The pool and beach fantastic, service great, nothing is too much trouble. All positive. On the negative side, we had a 9th floor... More

This was the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We used American Airlines miles to pay for it so it felt like a great deal too. Service was excellent. The public areas were a zoo. The place was over run by children. Maybe I was just jealous, my parents never too me to a fancy hotel. Restaurants were... More

Some 20 minutes drive from Waikiki, it is located away from the busy area. So guests get a secluded paradise by the cost of time and $20 taxi fare. The hotel also provides a not-too-frequent free shuttle bus to Waikiki. The resort gives you that kind of up class resort feeling once you stepped into the hotel area. Grand reception,... More
