This place is great for hanging out in Downtown Vicksburg! It's a family business and the service is wonderful. The rooms have been completely renovated and offer a cozy place to sleep or just chill out downtown! They offer a great view for the fireworks for July 4!!!

Honestly didn’t stay but I walked by several times. Are you kidding me- is this place even open? Dirty mattresses piled behind it. It has broken windows and is one of the scariest hotels I’ve ever seen. I looked it up on trip advisor just to see and when I dae it had any decent reviews I felt the need to warn anyone. I’d sleep in the car before I’d go inside this building.

The Relax Inn, in Vicksburg has to be the ugliest building in town, it just should not have got planning permission. But, it's probably also the cheapest and most central place to stay in the "city" centre. It's not very attractive, particularly friendly or have much to recommend it...but I will. My room was clean, had air conditioning, had a good shower, free parking, the location was central and the staff were neither rude nor gushy. I like this place. I wouldn't bring a lady there for a romantic evening, but that applies to Vicksburg in general. For my simple purposes, ie sleep, hygene and parking, it was perfect. All of the other hotels were so far from town they weren't acceptable, and to be honest, they all look a bit sterile. The Relax Inn certainly wasn't sterile and it did have a sort of particular atmosphere that I found quite pleasant.

VThe Relax Inn has very friendly front desk service. They offer Folgers coffee and sweetened Vanilla creamer each morning. Oh and this place is exceptionally cheap!!! Best part is it's in the heart of the historic Downtown Vicksburg!! Its a perfect for fishermen because it's only 2 blocks above the boat landing of the Yazoo Canal!!

We were on a road trip and always try to stay within walking distance of downtown and the location of this 'hotel' was perfect. The building is a bit rough looking so to is the reception area and lifts. The room was quite shabby but the bedding, towels etc clean. All of this is ok for a few nights but the service is the worst ever ever experienced. On arrival in reception we were looked at but not spoken to untill asked for ID the girl had a problem on computer so called (we assumed) manager who walked out picking her nose and totally ignoring us. I could spend a long time here telling you about the unhelpful and rude staff but wont bore you, all I'll say is for the two nights we were here we were totally ignored by every member of staff. Unbelievable. Such a shame as this is the only hotel in downtown and the building/rooms with a little TLC and a complete change of staff/management or lessons in customer service could be great. Another downtown hotel opening would perhaps solve this. The town is a lovely stroll away and is great the people so friendly everywhere we went.

We picked this hotel due to its location being fairly central. It was very cheap, and came across that way. Rooms were noisy and basic, but clean enough. We only stayed one night during a tour around the states. It was good value for the one night, but would not have wanted to stay there much longer.

My husband and I wanted to stay at a hotel close to the casinos. We booked a room for one night not having high expectations but to our surprise room was cheap only 50 a night and was very clean was also equipped with a refrigerator and microwave it was also very close to the casinos. We will definitely stay at Relax Inn in the future.

We looked for a cheap one night stay near the rooftop restaurant and this came up on our gps. Room was clean, basic. Rooftop was 5min walk around the corner. No noise from bars. We were at the 4th floor. Wifi reception was poor to useless though.

We were put off by the reviews but the location in the centre of downtown made us wonder, "How bad can it really be?" Not bad at all! It's basic but within walking distance of restaurants and museums and the murals. We would stay here again if we came. Everything is clean.

What a dump! Found it on hotels. com for less than $50. Decided to be cheap since I was just passing through late and would leave early in the morning... Big mistake! Area was very loud all night with door outside and facing the street. At 4am, a party started when the bars closed which sounded like it was right outside my door. I was ready to get up and yell out when the party turned into a gang fight. Police and sirens all night. The place smelled like Indian food with bugs around. Needs a serious makeover. Leaky roofs, etc. photo gives you an idea.
