While looking for a place to stay near Fajardo, I called this hotel numerous times. The proprietor finally answered. He only asked for my name, type of room, and travel dates. Seemed odd not to give a credit card number so I tried calling the day before our arrival to confirm the reservation but got no answer. When we arrived,... More

I made my reservation based on their site and because it was pretty close to the HIMA Hospital of Fajardo where I was rotating as a Medical Student for a week. That first day my mom came with me and we did check in. The waiter of the restaurant helped us, the owner was dressed dirty and sweaty and not... More

I had read some positive things in a couple guide books, so we decided to try Anchor's Inn (due to the reasonable price). We had planned on staying two nights, but left after one. We almost left in the middle of the night, as it was so noisy. Granted, we were there on a Saturday night, but it was almost... More

I want to start by saying that I have traveled around the world and stayed in all sorts of hostels/hotels/motels---you name it. Anchor's Inn has got to be one of the most sketchy places I have ever set foot in. Where to begin? First of all, the area is quite sketchy and very desolate. When we walked in, there was... More

I'm fairly surprised by the positive reviews. I'm not particularly fussy, but I found this property so grim (paint peeling off the strange barred red and black stripes on the exterior, dark, almost unfurnished interior room-- although I did not see any of the view rooms-- plastic covered couch in the hallway). The location is between a beautiful beach (a... More

We stayed several nights at Anchor's Inn in late May. Out of all the places we stayed in PR, this was the best, by far. The prices were very moderate compared to other places in the Fajardo area, and moreover the owners and staff will treat you with a warm honest hospitality, a commodity which even in its ordinary lame... I just returned from a trip to Puerto Rico in late May 2005 where I stayed at The Anchor's Inn for 3 nights. It was generally a negative experience so I will point out specific details as examples. The reason I chose Anchor's Inn was its low cost and availability of information on the internet. My cost was 60 dollars... More

It's in a nice spot, and easy to get to if you have a car. Close to Las Cabezas reserve, El Conquistador, Fajardo and several outstanding beaches. We got two beds for $71 - it was a huge room with its own bathroom and cable. Everyone was friendly and there was plenty of parking. Nothing exciting is happening there, but... More
