We went their for our honeymoon the second week of May/2012...Great food, great rooms, great staff, and a wonderful property...However a few things need to be fixed...We chose the ALL-INCLUSIVE option, and you need to sign-off your bill for almost everything you order, which is a pain...Also you need to check your bill continually since the staff always seem to... I stayed there for three nights during a business forum. On checking we were welcomed with a coctal:local juice. We had to pay upfront . They had us registered only by first name and my first name was the same with another colleague that arrived the same time.... And they had the name only once..... I dont know if these... More

Beautiful Resort - needs a bit polishing when it comes to accessories in the bedroom, but overal the property is so beautiful!!! The all inclusive food was delicious. The bathroom is to die for!! The beach and scenery is heaven on earth!! More

My girlfriend and I had the worst night of our Zanzibar trip at the Melia hotel in Kiwengwa. We had booked a single night in this hotel and everything went terribly wrong. We were welcomed quite nicely by the local staff in the morning (of course because you pay on arrival!) and were walked to our room. Quite big, very... More

We stayed for 5 nights. What gives Melia the edge is the most beautiful way the hotel was buildt to make full use of the view, and of course the magic way the staff treats you. The attention to detail with Melia goes a far way. They have thought of everything to make this an unforgettable experience. All the facilities... More

We stayed here after climbing kili in march 2012 and had the most relaxing time. The staff are fantastic, the food is great and the resort is magnificent. The staff drives you to the beach with a golf cart, they prepare your room every night before you sleep and they will do anything to make your stay perfect. The whole... More

Hotel Melia Zanzibar offered way more than I expected. The main website does not do the hotel justice. I thought I was going to some small beach hotel and ended up in a modern paradise! •Staff - Every staff that I passed greeted me with a smile, was extremely welcoming, courteous and friendly. They always offered assistance whether it was... More

We spent 9 days at Melia in february/march. Our tour (hotel and flight) was booked separetely. Flight was booked on internet, hotel through a travel agency. We found the hotel on internet. The choice of this hotel was based on the fact that they had a big pool and could offer all-inclusive. We paid 5000 USD for 3 persons/9 nights.... More

A group of 10 of us arrived at the end of February. We only stayed for 3 nights but I certainly wish we had been able to stay for longer. The rooms were clean and the suite was very spacious! The best part of the rooms however was the incredible bathroom which was so enormous, it was easily the size... More

My husband and I have just spent two full week at the Melia Zanzibar. What can I say? Hukuna Matata. Our experience of Zanzibar were tainted slightly by circumstances which I might add were out of the hotels control as our baggage was lost and one case took 11 days to arrive (I am sure the hotel managers will now... Dear Jacquihay; Of course we do remember you, and we are very happy that finally your suitcase was found and returned to you. We are very proud that we could be of assistance and help you to find it through our communications and calls with the airport. We always think as if we were in the shoes of our guests... More
