I am a Thai from Bangkok. I have been to this place many many times, and absolutely loves it. I love it because it's not like any other typical tourist destinations (ie: Phuket, Samui, Pattaya, etc...). There are no near by "tourist trap" stores, no loud pubs/ bars, no prostitutes, no hawkers and deck chairs all over the beach. This... More

I managed to get the last room at this resort on my way back home from Phuket to Najomtien. As I've stayed at the Chumphon Cabana Resort already two times before, I knew what to expect. The biggest asset of this resort is it's secluded location at the end of the Tung Wua Laen Beach south of Chumphon. The resort... More

That is what my daughter called this "resort". They have some nice rooms, but the "garden" is gross, full of stagnant, dirty pools of water and pipes sticking up every which way. We had a nice verandah but it looked out over a corrugated iron shack of some kind. The pool was clean but with an Eastern European school vibe,... More

Arrived Chumpon train station, quoted 300Baht for fare to resort by Blue Tuk Tuk taxi, later found out that green taxis only charge 60Bhat for same 15 kilometre journey. Hotel is in a great location adjacent to the beach. We opted for a garden view bungalow, for our one night stay. The accommodation was very basic, ok for one night... More

The hotel claims to be very ecological , and if you look at the amount of life in the rooms - they`re right ! Mildew / mould on the walls , gekko on the ceiling ( hanging upside down ) and and an assortment of cockroaches on the floor . Outside of the buildings there are waterchannels crisscrossing the compound... More

By far the worst place I've stayed ever (I once spent a night on a park bench in old Yugoslavia, and that was slightly worse). We arrive, - they can't seem to manage that we are 12 people, because they constantly ask me; twelve, really! But ok, they send us off to our rooms...The bell boys are then waiting at... More

I stayed at Chumphon Cabanas for work, so I had no idea about the ecological aspects of the resort until I got there. Unfortunately most of the eco literature is in Thai only so you have to guess by the pictures or ask the staff. I am giving this resort 5 Stars for its potential. It is situated on a... More

We were very surprised by the quality of this hotel entirely ecological. A concern for the environment outside the norm. Everything is recycled. They manufacturing product: like anti mosquito , coconut oil, soap , shampoo etc.. In addition, the food is excellent and offers vegetarian meals. Although the sea around the property is disappointing but the beach of the hotel... More

We had a bungalow, simple but very nice. The breakfasts at the Cabana resort are good! The swimming pool needs a good clean every now and then, and more seats to sunbathe on. All in all it's a place to relax, enjoy the sun. The only thing which is terrible is the sandflies, which you cannot escape. They drive you... More

After a trip from Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan, Chumphon was our last destination before heading back to Bangkok The ferry arrived the port but we still didn't know to go and stay. We first choose Sairee beach, just next to Paradonparb beach. It's nice there but the staffs at our resorts were not so friendly. So we decided... More
