A lovely, grand, hotel in extensive grounds. Rooms are spacious, fantastic. Facilities are second to none, with excellent pools, gym, restaurants and golf course. Tip: There is a good, very cheap, restarant just outside the gates. Verdict: Go. It's a really wonderful hotel.

Just spent one night here in February before catching an early morning ferry to Koh Phangan. The hotel is modern and in pleasant grounds. The pool was beautifully refreshing after a long train journey – plenty of big absorptive towels and sunbeds.
