My husband and I returned to this charming small hotel in Normandy. It is beautifully situated ,au bord de la mer,and is decorated in a simple ,nautical way...lots of calming beige, grey, sea blue and shell whites. The rooms are quite plain but very restful.Linens are crisp and white and falling asleep to the sounds of the sea is heaven.
The food is out...

This Hotel could be good but I'm not sure if it is because it a part of Logis but it is overpriced for the service they give. Yes the decour is lovely and the location is good, especially if you want more than a stuffy dusty over chintzed B&B to stay in near the ferry but the staff are snooty...

We stayed here on the last night of our French holiday, Arriving in Barneville-Carteret we found the hotel really easily and what a location, right on the sea front, absolutely lovely. We checked in fine and were shown to our room, a sea view at the top of the hotel, a bit small for the price but fine. Looked like...

Although we are not American but French, we had a similarly bad experience at Hotel des Isles. We had booked (long in advance) for two nights, for what was supposed to be a romanting and enchanting stay. We had some difficulties locating the hotel, since nobody had given me any directions when I had called them and they had not...

Their web site is brilliant. It is NOT the hotel however. The room had paint chips peeling off the wall. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. We traveled extensively throughout France for almost three weeks and spent two nights at this hotel. The food in the restaurant was of excellent quality, but the service was awful. All of the...

We originally wanted to stay in its sister hotel a mile or so away but it was full and were luckily directed to the des Isles. The first two rooms overlooked the sea but were quite small. Then I was shown a double room at the same price. It was really comfortable and airy, though the hotel is a bit...

What a delightful find! Just over 30mins from Cherbourg facing out to sea. The room was a treasure, although unlike ther reviewers we did find the bathroom small but adequate.
The restaurant is great, we went for one of the menus which included a buffet starter, a main course and a buffet desert. The food was fab but the buffets...

We love this hotel. Lovely, laid back atmosphere. Great for kids too. Food is the best around this area. Fantastic seafood. We always make sure we have a meal here at least once in the fortnight. Haven't stayed here but if the rooms are anything like the rest of the hotel they will be really stylish with a nautical feel....

After a 5 hour journey in the car with the children and the in laws (!) we arrived in the lovely town of Barneville-Carteret, which is actually two towns linked by a small road. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our family room (children of 3 and 5 years) was huge and very nicely decorated. It looks like the hotel...
