A lovely setting in the country side. Amazing place to stay. The staff was wonderful and even more helpful on directions and places to see in the area. We toured the Tuscany area visting many amazing sites. The rooms in the castle were wonderful and very clean, we felt like being at home. Just taking time from touring and spending... More

We were two couples on our first trip to Italy. Our rooms were lovely and the grounds and atmosphere were all we hoped for in a "castle". The owner gave us excellent advice for villages to visit in the area and for our trip to Florence. It's the personal touch that can make such a difference. I highly recommend this... More

Very good trip with the baby and wife Highlights: -Impressively immersive isolation: truly spectacular views of the tuscan hills with plenty of character to the castle and grounds. Very easy to while away the hours on the lawns -Siena and much of Chianti region within striking distance. Florence is a bit of a trek but certainly doable (about 75 minutes... More

We chose Castello di Tornano as the venue for our wedding because we wanted somewhere beautiful and romantic where we could spend a few days relaxing in the Tuscan countryside with our friends and family. Everything was even better than we could have imagined. The venue is wonderful. The rooms are gorgeous and so are the views. The staff were... More

We had our wedding here for a few days with about fifty of our family and friends, and everything was perfect; the rooms, the staff, the location (of course), and the food and wine! I would recommend everyone to stay there. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and made the whole event super relaxing and fun.

This hotel is situated on beautiful property, amid Tuscan hills and other nearby wineries and castles. The rooms with kitchens were nice, but the grounds and main buildings were absolutely gorgeous. The pool is lovely, and when we wanted lunch, they sent the chef directly to us to make us a custom meal. He prepared some of the most heavenly... More

We stayed in the capanna/small house with two young children and are rather amazed by the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We did not experience any service by the hotel or staff - no friendly greeting upon arrival or any explanation at all. The apartment was shown by owner Fabiola and thereafter we have not seen her at all (not even... More

After a previous stay at Castello Di Tornano we decided to hold our wedding reception at the castle during August 2012. We couldn't have picked a better location, the staff were outstanding and would go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our day passed seamlessly. The chef and his staff provided excellent locally produced authentic Tuscan dishes... More

We arrived at the end of the "season" - actually after the season - and virtually had the place to ourselves. Steeped in history, what remains of the original castle is fascinating. We stayed in an apartment and it was accommodating - reasonably clean and comfortable for a 2,000 year old place! Expansive grounds could use some sprucing up, but... More

We stayed in the tower in the Mary Stuarda room. Wonderful views of the countryside and access to the tower's outdoor deck, a nice place to relax and do a watercolor. The room decor could be freshened/lightened, as the colors are old fashioned heavy damask deep reds blues golds. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, very nice, good wait staff.... More
