The hosts were amazing. Friendly and helpful. We had a few requests for trips etc and transport (which was a complex one) and they managed to arrange them all no problem at a good price too. The room was separate from the rest of the house and there is a great outdoor space for eating and relaxing. The casa is... More

We highly recommend this casa in the beautiful Viñales. Lucilo, Nirma and their two two adult children are extremely helpful, nice and hospitable people. The food is great, the house is very clean and its a relaxing place to stay at. We only have the best things to say about this casa and the family of Lucilo y Nirma! If... More

We spent 3 nights at Lucilo and Nirma's house. They are a very hospitable and friendly family making you feel immediately welcome. We felt it was just the right mix of privacy and family integration. We especially enjoyed chatting with them (in Spanish) in the evenings in the typical Vinales rocking chairs. The room is clean, nice and quiet in... More

Having stayed in a number of casas across Cuba, Casa Lucilo y Nirma was definitely the best. The entire house was spotless, the food excellent, the family welcoming and helpful (particularly in helping us to find accommodation on the next leg of our journey), and, after the craziness of Havana, the tranquil surroundings of the casa and Vinales was much... Everything said previously was true, great place, friendly people, etc. I will also add that Nirma cooked us some fantastic vegetarian meals! Definitely the best food we had in Cuba! We stayed for 5 nights and they didn't mind storing our bikes for us when we left for a few days. More

Can't add much to the other great reivews - we had a great 3 days stay here. Just had to add my voice to praise the dinners serves - they were the best I had in all my visits to Cuba. The lobster steak was exquisite. More

Casa Lucilo y Nirma My recommended days of stay : 4 to visit and relax in the area. This is a wonderful place, named after Dad “Lucilo” and Mum “Nirma”. With them lives Grandma “Nana” and 2 adult children “Yunior” & “Yuneysis”. All of them are very friendly and helpful. They speak very well English, Italian and Portuguese (and Spanish... More

After travelling around Cuba for two weeks with my step-brother, we both agreed that this was by far our favourite Casa. We had booked one night in Vinales as an interlude between two short stays in Havana, and I now wish we had done it the other way round. The valleys of Vinales are beautifully tranquil, and in stark contrast... More

My travel companion and I enjoyed 3 days at Casa Lucillo Y Nirma. We pre-arranged to have lunch, when we arrived. That meal - and all others we enjoyed with this family - were wonderful. Also very relaxing was sipping rum on their front porch, watching the parade of life on the small street in front of the casa. A... More
