We arrived late one afternoon, and did not expect it to be in such a remote location. We were glad to have the GPS. We stayed on the top floor which was a renovated attic. It was beautifully done, but the windows lacked screens. We must have killed thirty flies the first night. Very disappointing. The breakfast was always fantastic,... More

We're very embarassed and would like to apologize for the problem you had with flies in our attic suite. During the late fall, as the weather turns cool we often have a few flies in the house but for some reason this year we had way more than we've ever had. We take the screens out of the windows in... Briarcliffe Inn review My husband and I stayed with Mary and Bill at the Briarcliffe Inn in September 2012. We truly enjoyed our visit to their lovely B & B. Mary and Bill are very knowledgeable about PEI, interesting and hospitable. The food is amazing, the beds comfortable and the conversation easy. We will definitely stay with Bill and Mary... More

We got in late at night after driving for hours in the rain and were met with a large glass of wine by our hosts. They are so well informed about everything happening on the island - they planned a whole list of things for us to see and do the next day since it was still raining and not... More

I chose The Briarcliffe Inn because it was close to the bridge and it had great reviews. It is also off the beaten path and surrounded by beautiful fields. The shore is a short walk or bike ride with a red sand beach AND YES the water is incredibly warm. Bill and Mary are very knowledgable and helpful. They prepare... More

Bill and Mary welcomed me and my spouse to Briarcliffe for our honeymoon. We wanted to stay in a B&B that was LGBT-friendly and that could accommodate our gluten-free diet. Briarcilffe was a success on both counts! Thanks, Mary and Bill.

Briarcliffe Inn is a lovely country house filled with beautiful and interesting antiques. The rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculate. A real feast for the eyes. We especially enjoyed the decadent breakfasts which came with friendly conversation. The Inn Keepers are lovely and warm people who are very knowledgable of the Province, and very helpfull in finding things to do... More

From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were greeted and treated like friends and family. A warm smile, conversation, and knowledge about the island and what to do were always front and centre. Bill & Mary do everything they possibly can to ensure you have the experience of a lifetime while on the island. The bed... More

What a great place to stay, eat, drink and feel at home - clean, roomy hospitable - can't wait to go back. They helped make our stay more enjoyable by recommending an number of place to see, activities to get involved in etc.

This place was one of the most memorable, cozy places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at in my travels. You really get the best local experience; from the welcoming owners who will chat with you over a generous glass of their homemade wine, to decadent breakfasts like Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and local roasted herbed potatoes.... For my first trip to PEI, my partner and I chose to stay at Briarcliffe Inn and I am so glad we did! Not only was it a beautiful, peaceful and romantic getaway, but Mary and Bill were so knowledgeable about fun things to do on the island - and knew just what to recommend for us each day to... More
