As Sara R stated a particularly noisy motel being right on the main drag and the by-pass directly across the road.Hard to hide from it.The room I had wasn't the cleanest but the bed was comfortable.Very handy to the town centre is a plus.

This motel is right on the State Highway, where the trucks change down in gear as they enter the town. It was horrendously noisy all night, even with all the windows shut as tight as the broken latches allowed. Of course that made the room stinking hot and there is no air-con. It was far too expensive for a tired... More

The Palm Court Motel is not to expensive and well worth the price. The room we got was spacious, clean and tidy with a very comfortable king size bed. There was a door out to the patio at the rear side of the hotel, where each room got some square meters, a table and some chairs. The hotel is close... More

I stay in this motel frequently. It is what it is - friendly owners, average but comfortable rooms (stay as far away from the main road as possible) stay upstairs to eliminate the noise of upstairs neighbors, andif there is a problem of any kind they are happy to take care of anything. So all in all I recommend it!

Located on an intersection of two roads, one being the main highway through the town. So if you like noise...... The room was tired and not in the best of shape. Someone needs to spend some money on this place. Had that smell of a leaky building. Curtains were wafer thin and didn't close properly. Didn't feel comfortable here at... More

Had a suite for $125 (more than Best Western in Auckland for a much superior room!!). Traffic noise all night from nearby main road plus floor shook upstairs when next door guests walked around their room. Add to this that the shower and toilet flushing in the next room woke us up at 6.00 am sounding like an express train.... More

After our stay in a different motor lodge prior to this which was terrible. we were worried about our stay here. Those worries were unfounded! The room was excellent, in great shape, and good sized. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had an excellent hurricane-like pressure I've never had the luck to experience in a hotel room prior (usually... More

The room was clean and tidy and offered a lot of space. The owner of the motel was very kind and even helped us out with our laundry (we were travelling on bikes and were running out of clothes). We felt really welcome and we would stay there again anytime! Only minus: As it is located near the road it... More

We had a two-bedroom unit which was very roomy. There was a spa-bath, and a full kitchen. The motel is just off the main highway, and we happily recommend it.
