My daughter and I stayed four nights recently, while bird watching in panama ( our wonderful guide is the brother of the cabanas owner). I would recommend the cabanas as a quiet and friendly place to stay.

This isn't luxurious but it is quite wonderful. The rooms are great and the gardens are absolutely lovely. The owners are very welcoming and will take you into town for dinner and pick you up afterwards. We were really surprised to find such great accommodation - we definitely recommend it.

Owners Mireya and Dennis are excellent hosts. The garden is very beautiful and relaxing. The rooms are nice and serve the purpose, relaxing stay. Dont look for any luxury, it is not the purpose of the place. There are a few any animals living in the same complex, specially birds. Ask Mireya the information.

This was one of the best places I stayed in all of Panama! Dennis and Mireya make it a home away from home. I traveled solo and stayed in the guest room attached to the main house. Cabanas Potosi is a special location and in a beautiful setting. It is not in downtown El Valle which is a plus. The cabanas are basic but very nice and a terrific value. Dennis and Mereya were wonderful hosts and interesting people. The cottages are about a mile out of town and they offered to drive us on several occasions.
