Went for a week with Riviera Travel. Had a 4th floor room with lake view and small balcony. We paid extra for this. The room was modern, clean, and completely adequate for the limited amount of time we spent there. The view is, of course, spectacular over the lake to the snow covered lower Alps. We weren't troubled by any... More

The position of the Grand Cadenabbia Hotel is second to none. Situated right on Lake Como and opposite Bellagio with frequent boat and bus services to all destinations on Lake Como. BUT the hotel turned out to be a big disappointment. The recently re furbished rooms and bathrooms were lovely but the bathroom had ants living in there. This must... More

Excellent room, great size with balcony overlooking the lake toward Bellagio. Felt like a movie scene. Basic breakfast but a seat by the window made up for that. Close to the ferries, bus stop out the front. Next door to villa Carlotta. Try the local restaurant for dinner. Best food we had in ALL of 19 days in Italy.....Rodrigo ristorante... More

With Riviera Travel, first class. Rooms OK didn't pay extra for lake view. Rooms big enough unless you are throwing a nparty, (Shower a bit unusual). Food good...yes sometimes big queues for Antipasti, but that is often because of the Brit, picking the prawns out of the pasta, or deciding that they have got to try everything. Water 4 euro,... We travelled with The Travel Department during May, We paid extra for a lake view and balcony. The room was small (no space to walk between the bed and the dressing table if the chair was out) but grand because we either sat outside on the little terrace or we were not in the room at all. The double bed... More

We booked an holiday with Riviera travel and thoroughly enjoyed it. This hotel is ideally situated being just across the road from the Lake Como with glorious views of the mountains and the buildings across the lake. Right next door to the hotel is the wonderful Villa Carlotta with it's strikingly beautiful gardens (although a lot of walking up steep... More

We stayed at the grand for a week at the end ofAppil on an organised tour. The hotel was fine and the staff we absolutely great, the food was ok for the first couple of days but became a bit repetative and if we were stayng for more than a week would have been disappointed with the sameness of the... Set right on the banks of Lake Como this refurbished hotel has a 19th century elegant feel, but with high quality facilities - including probably the best (and cleanest) bathroom we've ever experienced. Staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. Restaurant set up to deal with coach parties (who were the main customer group when we were there) so don't... More

In March 2012 we visited the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia -Lake Como. The location of the Grand is superb, on the shore of Lake Como with most of the rooms having a beautiful view across the lake. The rooms are excellent, with plenty of space and very clean a full bath. The view across the lake is is really special from your... More

I stayed in this beautiful hotel for a week last March and cannot praise it highly enough. The views are breathtaking. The staff absolutely fantastic, friendly, efficient and welcoming. The food in the restaurant superb. My room was lovely, spotlessly clean with every comfort. I have read some reviewers complaints about the "awful" coffee served at breakfast, presumably too strong,... More
