I visited this guest house in April 2011. After a 13 hour trip up from the south coast of England I was more than pleased to be greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The ensuite room was spotless, the bed comfy, and the food excellent. Throughout my stay the owners were both friendly and informative and the breakfast second... More

Really this Guest House delivered in every way. Helpfully picking us up from Laggan Locks as we were walking the Great Glen Way. Clean room with good facilities. Excellent breakfast. Packed lunch that weighed us down. Sitting room for guests and so on. However, there were a lot of Do's and Don'ts including a reference to the Area Smoking Officer... More

Thank you for your postive comments, I do however have to answer some of the negatives you have stated, as our do's and don'ts! It is a offence to smoke in any properties in the Highlands, and by law we are required to point out that persons found doing so could face prosecution, this is not one of the do's... More

We found the Inverour by accident and were glad we did. Lovely room and a warm welcome from the owners. Clean quiet and modern room; great breakfast, and good rates. Highly recommended. More

My dad and I stayed at this hotel last month for 3 nights. The hotel is within great reach of the Nevis range (the reason for our trip) and Fort William, though I had my car with me which made things easier, I'm sure the bus services were good enough too. Also within a reasonable driving distance to Loch Ness... More

We were visiting for the start of our 3 peaks mountain challenge. After a very long car journey from the South of Hampshire we arrived at the Inverour Guest House tired. We were greeted by a warm and friendly Lesley who's only concern was our well being and after showing us to our rooms (there were six of us) left... More

Stayed here for one night as part of my Great Glen Way trip. £29 for a single room and £3 for a pick up from Gairlochy locks, which was reasonable value I thought. The room was very small, but comfortable and everything that you'd require. The heater in the shower room didn't operate in the morning, I discovered the power... More

We thank this traveller for his good report of our Guest House. However to make things clear of his statement that we recommended where he took his evening meal; This is incorrect, we do not recommend anywhere we only give people the options available as a curtesy. It is unfortunate he was disappointed but if the tablecloth was in his... More

We stayed overnight whilst walking the Great Glen Way, and the experience was perfect from start to finish. We had a lovely warm welcome, and Lesley gave us lots of information on where we could have a much needed hearty meal that evening! We pre-ordered breakfast for the following morning and packed lunches to take with us, and both were... More

This is the smallest room Ive ever had the misfortune to stay in. We could not put down our baggage & still open the door. The bathroom is tiny, almost cant turn around in it. It is very poor value. More

We are sorry this guest found the accommodation not up to his standards. He was however shown the room before he decided to accept it, and could have raised his concerns then and not accepted the room, it was entirely his choice to stay. We would prefer anyone to raise their concerns if they have any immediately with us as... More

You are always a bit anxious doing a late booking but for this trip no problems. The small guest house is located on the busy A82 road from Fort William to Inverness but was very quiet at night. Room was spotless with everything you need for an overnight stay. Breakfasts are pre-ordered and very good with cereals, fresh fruit, full... More

We have visited Inverour 3 times now and our stay has always been a highlight of our time away from home. The owners, Lesley and Ian, are truly welcoming. The rooms are delightful and modernly decorated with plenty of space for both myself, husband and 2 year old daughter. Their knowledge of the local area is invaluable and suggestions for... More
