There aren't many choices in Uvita for lodge/resort with family (we have two girls, 9 and 12). You won't be dissapointed by La Cusinga. The grounds are beautiful, the food darn good, and the views were amazing. Seeing toucans was really fun. The family room was nicely built and clean. The trails and private pool are great. It's far enough... More

La Cusinga is a wonderful surprise on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. We stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't be happier. The staff were incredibly helpful around the lodge and in planning tours for us. The food was spectacular, including fresh squeezed juices every day and all of the food is either grown/raised on property or purchased locally.... More

My wife and I just returned from a one weeks stay in Costa Rica. Much of that time was spent at La Cusinga. We have travelled all over the world and we both agree that the view from the lookout deck is one of the most spectacular we have ever experienced. We spent hours rocking in our chairs looking for... My husband and I spent a week in the honeymoon suite bungalow at La Cusinga and had a wonderful experience. The setting is incredible, nestled on a hill overlooking the ocean. The food was delicious, each meal better than the next (especially the banana ice cream and the lunches, which were fabulous - the best chicken quesadilla I've ever eaten!)... More

I stayed there for a few days in april 2012 and I loved it!! The highlights of this hotel : the private reserve and the paths where you can spot animals (I spotted monkeys, coatis, toucans, agutis, monarchs), the rooms from which the view is very nice, the food, the adorable employees. One thing you should know though, the hotel... More

My teen son and I stayed 3 nights in La Cusinga in April. and we LOVED it. We loved the hike to the beach and loved our room ( Gamela 2) with our own little porch, lawn and view of the sea. The meals were healthy, interesting and well prepared. The hike to the usually deserted beach was tough but... More

We stayed at La Cusinga because we bid on the trip at an auction. I researched the place AFTER making the reservations! We stayed 8 nights. I am getting a little sentimental just writing about it. The staff was so sweet and took care of us so well. They loved my husband, who is still at the "buenos nachos" (instead... More

On the hills above Playa Uvita, La Cusinga was a great place to stay. The property is new and well-kept. La Cusinga was built to be sustainable, with local renewable woods used for construction. The workmanship was beautiful. I was part of a birdwatching tour group, the only single person in the group, so I got the single room mentioned... More

My 11-year-old son and I stayed at La Cusinga for 5 nights. Mid-way through our stay, we took an all-day excursion to Corcovado National Park, "the most biologically diverse place on earth." Maybe ... but it wasn't worth leaving La Cusinga, where we lived on a daily basis among as much wildlife as we saw at Corcovado. Howler monkeys, capuchins,... More

Thank you for your review! Glad you had a good time with your Son. Yes Gibran, Adriana, Travis and Pilar from Bodhi Surf School are great people!
