Just spent another fantastic weekend at the Lodge Hotel. Meals as usual delicious and plentiful. Staff and owners were fantastic ensuring we all had everything we needed. Already planning to go back again next November!

I have just returned from a stay at this wonderful hotel. The food was homely and very well cooked and flavoured and the staff were brilliant. The owners could not have been more friendly and the hotel has a wonderful atmosphere. I would highly recommend a stay in this lovely little gem of a hotel at any time of yer.... More

I stayed three nights at The Lodge Hotel and can honestly say that it was a very enjoyable time. The good food, the comfortable rooms, and the wonderful people made our three nights and days a memorable visit.

Our group was a mixture of adults and teenagers, and we spent three nights at the hotel. We had a great experience. The hosts were fantastic. They were very friendly and made us feel at home. The food was delicious, and we had more than what we could eat for each meal. The hotel is definitely not like a chain,... More

This hotel has a beautiful exterior and slightly disappointing interior. But what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for in perfect service, great bathrooms and comfort. The food at the hotel is great and seems to be pretty much all that is available in the area. This hotel is a great stopover for a night on your way to... More

The room we were in No 23 was basic and would have been nice to have had two bedside cabinets, needed updating really but on saying that, it is our only criticism of this hotel. It is spotless. Plenty of hot water fuffy white towels and lovely warm room. The food was fantastic a choice menu for dinner every evening... More

Nice hotel set in its own grounds. Old lodge with a modern extension. Rooms were clean tho mine was dated as I was in the old part. Has nice dining room for individual guests but as we were a coach party we ate in the function room. Nice cosy bar with a good range of drinks. Food was excellent, fresh... More

Stayed here with Travelstyle on a 5 day "bargain break" in late August. The room was a little basic but was clean and tidy with fresh towels and tea/coffee being replenished every day, some of the rooms had been updated and these looked very nice. The food was excellent throughout our stay with a good and varied choice. Staff were... More

As a teacher, I stayed here for only one night with a group of close to 30 well-behaved American high school students and several adult chaperones on an EF Tour of England and Scotland. Rooms were spacious, especially when compared to often-cramped London accommodations. The decor was traditional, a mix of tartan and classic country. Facilities were en suite and... More
