Superb - from start to finish John & Irene still manage to make you feel like a family friend rather than a paying guest. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We drove this time so a 10 hours drive from one end of the country to the other but well worth it to stay with them. Irene's breakfasts are... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crubenbeg. It's in a great spot and a lovely house. John and Irene are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their breakfasts are not too be missed! (Supper was very good too.) This is the place to go if you want a lovely b&b experience - so different than a hotel - of chatting with other... More

We spent 3 nights at Crubenbeg House, John Irene were extremley hospitable, the food was excellent, their knowledge of the local area, walking routes and visitor attractions was fantastic. The House is in a superb location surrounded by stunning views. We feel that Raja the dog also needs a mention here as we thought he was great! lovely natured and... More

A fantastic two days. Spotless accommodation and we were extremely well looked after. Fantastic breakfast too! I can not recommend highly enough and we look forward to a return trip in the future. More

I have stayed at Crubenbeg House a number of times, and can honestly say that it is the nicest, most hospitable and dog-friendliest B&B I know. The layout of the (communal) dining table adds to the convivial atmosphere and is particularly appealing for solo (female) travellers, who are more often than not "tucked away" in a dark corner. John and... More

We have stayed at a number of 'wheelchair friendly' B&B's and have had very stressfull experiences! From the very moment we arrived at Crubenbeg all our concerns were put to rest. We were warmly welcomed by Irene and John along with much needed hot mugs of coffee. Our room - The Pine Martin, was on the ground floor and had... More

Irene and John have just the right mix of informality and top class service. The house is beautifully appointed with sofas by the open fire and a separate communal dining area. The rooms are private and very comfortable with extra touches such as chocolates (replenished every day too!). As a base for activities it is ideal, with walks, pubs, fishing... More

I was joining up with family members for an unexpected short trip to Scotland - just two nights. I was very taken with how John and Irene welcomed us. They were very hospitable and easy to be around and had suggestions of places to visit that they thought met our requirements. The whole place was lovely and clean and very... More

I stayed one night as a stopover whilst on the way North to Tigh Na Sith (the 'Sister B & B' - which is also excellent). One night was enough to confirm for me all the praises listed by other guests are true. My room was the Pine Martin on the ground floor. This was very comfortable, clean, well equipped... More

Staying in the beautiful and spacious Stag room, the rooms at this B & B rival (exceed?) those of a five star hotel. The common areas (sitting room and dining room) are beautiful and comfortable and can be thoroughly enjoyed with a glass of wine or local ale in hand as Crubenbeg is licensed. It's fascinating to meet fellow guests... More
