What a lovely place to stay, close to the main highway easily located but nicely secluded and very quiet, beach in walking distance; We stayed in the larger of the two properties, it was very comfortable and well equipped, kitchen has full cooking facilities, good size sitting room, comfortable beds with plenty of room for 4 people, outside there is... This was a truly lovely place to stay and we were sorry it was only for one night. We did have some trouble getting into the property but once in we were delighted with it. It was very nicely presented with a sitting room, kitchenette with good size dining table, large comfy bedroom and huge bathroom with great shower, trendy... More

We loved this place as soon as we set foot on the property. There are 2 chalets and we had the smaller with one bedroom. Everything is there, nice kitchen, comfortable lounge, magic bathroom and a nice comfortable bed in the bedroom. Outside is a verandah to relax and enjoy the view, especially nice was the sunset. There is a... More

If you really want quiet and solitude this is the place! We stayed for one night and apart from the occupants from the other chalet, we saw nobody. You can walk to the beach which is huge and empty. The house is well equipped and spacious with a great hot tub outside. Amazing value for the amount of room you... More

Personal trip around newzealand. Stayed one night there. only 2 chalets, we had the smaller one. The place is quite isolated from the civilisation even if it is quite close from barrytown. But the panorama is great, the sea is close even if no direct acces is possible. The garden is beautifull, the chalet are modern and very confortable and... More

This was our second stay here, and it remains one of our favourite spots. Would highly recommend staying here, and being pet friendly is a huge bonus for us. Can't wait to stay again in a few weeks time.

Beach Hideaway consists of two villa "units" along the seashore in a remote part of the NZ West coast. The setting is beautiful, but be sure to do your shopping before you arrive, because the nearest town (Greymouth) is about 20 minutes drive away. The spa tub is pretty cool and is set in a little hut with a lovely... More

My partner and I stayed at the Beach Hideaway last month, October 2012. We booked the two bedroom chalet for four nights, with friends joining us for two. On arrival, we simply had to enter the code into the security lock and the place was magically ours. The living area was spacious and heated by a very good, flame effect... More

My husband and I only spent one night in this lovely cottage and we would love to come back and spend more time in this area. It's beautiful, with a view of the ocean and very peaceful. I would recommend stopping at a grocery store for supplies as the cottage has a stove, refrigerator and microwave. On their website they... More

I can't speak highly enough of Beach Hideaway. We went for a relaxing weekend away and that's exactly what we got. We were lucky that no one was staying in the other cabin so we had sole use of the (amazing) hot tub and outdoor fire pit. We were also lucky that the weather was clear so got a good... More
