We booked at Lake Dunstan Motel in Cromwell just as a passing through accomodation. Wish we could have stayed longer. Rooms were fantastic, very central. Walked to Tavern for great meal. On arrival we were given freshly baked muffins. Amazing!

We can't say enough about this motel. It is the cleanest tidiest place we stayed during a month in NZ. It is unassuming from the outside but a real winner. This motel had everything you could want. It had its own toilet/shower, bedroom with king sized bed, and kitchen with stove, refrigerator and all the cooking equipment you could need. We (2 couples) had two rooms here for our last night in New Zealand. The location was quiet and next to the golf course. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the managers/owners very friendly; upon our arrival we received homemade muffins for afternoon tea. Free wi-fi and restaurants are within walking distance of the motel. Two thumbs up!

We had 3 nights in this lovely motel at the beginning of January 2012.At very first glance it may not seem all that special, but it IS! Rooms are very well appointed, the gardens and surrounds are immaculately maintained. No request was too much trouble - the managers were frinedly, approachable and readily availible

We so enjoyed our four night stay at this motel. The back of our unit backed onto the golf course. The open view was lovely. The unit was spacious and very comfortable. Bob and Laurel were great hosts. Can't recommend it more highly.

We turned up here without a booking. We were greeted with a warm welcome, some yummy muffins, fantastic golf course views, spotlessly clean appartment and very friendly owners! We've stayed in lots of places over the last few weeks but, of them all, this place has the most soul - it was perfect in every way! Thank you!
