Salome and Dirk hosted a function for us at their Guest House and we can only recognise what an absolutely fantastic night it was. The food was delicious - we had tender fillet which was cooked to perfection and the ambience of the venue was gorgeous. I would highly recommend anyone planning a function at Lennox

What an enjoyable experience to visit Lennox ! Right from the outset it ws clear that this was not going to be your ordinary, run of the mill visit. Right from the warm welcome and settling in in my very comfortable room, the evenings do,game drive, the warm, welcom ambience ,everything worked towards a very enjoyable stay.Thank you very much!

We spent three nights at Lennox Guest House and could easily have stayed longer. Salome and Dirk are great hosts and Salome's cooking is delicious. The working farm is a lovely quiet environment and a good jumping off point from which to visit the battlefields. The farm is interesting in itself, with a whole variety of animals and they have... Recently,we had the enormous pleasure of staying with Salome and Dirk for 2 nights. Their welcome was warm and genuine. Salome is an excellent cook and therefore the 2 evening meals we had were exceptional....the best fillet steak we have tasted in a long time. We enjoyed seeing the Rugby memorabilia and on our last morning Dirk very kindly gave... More

We stumbled across Lennox Guest House whilst 'slackpacking' around KZN and what a find it was. Great accommodation, including hotti bottis to keep us cosy at night, superb food, inc whiskey and cream with the porridge. Fab company, fab location and great stories

We stayed with Dirk as host and he is a really nice and interesting guy being a former rugby springbok international. The food was a real highlight and Dirk's wife produces very high quality dishes. Try the porridge with whisky - splendid. If you are visiting the battlefields ask Dirk to put you in touch with Paul Gardner who is... More

Ohh, the food! this was the finest meal we had in all of South Africa during the 3 weeks we were there. We were surprised by the presentation and then the food itself. Dirk was a gracious host and we enjoyed staying where all the pictures and awards on the wall of his Springbok days. It was a great place... More

Looking at Lennox guest house website, you may have the impression that you will arrive in a cute farmhouse, with animals around, nice gardens and flowers and that the rooms and environment will be at least 3/4 stars standing... as mentionned in the website on the front page :"Revel in luxury and build unforgettable memories..." But it is not exactly... More

This beautiful old farmhouse houses a lovely family and Dirk, a former Spingbok international, is a great host. The guest house is a few kilometres from the unremarkable town of Dundee but we chose it because it is close to Rourke's Drift, where were were to visit a battle site. We were delighted by the friendliness of all the family,... More
