My dad sister and I arrived in Trim to this wonderful B&B. We were greeted by Marie who welcomed us with a warm smile and had plenty of pamphlets for us to help us find our way around Trim. She was kind enough to even drive us into town that evening to show us around! That night she gave us... More

A beautiful home with beautiful surroundings. Not far at all from the Trim Castle, so after visiting there, we headed straight to find a b and b. This one was just gorgeous. Mary was working on her flower garden, and has a large, lovely property. The room she offered us was large, with an enormous bathroom! It was very luxurious.... More

We arrived at Tigh Cathain after a long day, having landed at 6:30 am from the states and beginning our sightseeing at Bru na Boinne and the Newgate passage tomb. Marie graciously met us at the door and promptly showed us to our room. She has an electric water kettle, tea and coffee in the room with milk and sugar.... More

We were warmly greeted by Marie, who was an engaging and informative host. We learned a great deal about Ireland and Irish ways during our conversations with her. The room was lovely, heated beds, great view of her beautiful yard! The house was well appointed with lots of Victorian touches. Breakfast was delicious, complete with forget-me-not flowers! This was a... More

Marie had the heated blankets on upon our arrival. After an overnight plane ride and a little sightseeing on our way to Trim the warm beds and welcome were just what we needed! Breakfast was delicious and Marie was very helpful!

What a wonderful place to stay for our first night in Ireland! The pots of primulas at the front door provided the colour that we were looking for after a long winter, the bedroom was large and bright, the breakfast table was set beautifully, and we really enjoyed our first full Irish breakfast. Not too far from Dublin Airport for... More

My mom and I loved everything about Tigh Cathain. Marie is a total sweetheart and her home is classy and warm. i loved the decor here - crisp white linens, oversized china cups, antique dresser in the bathroom. Every detail is lovely, quality and with consideration for her guests. We had a twin room up the stairs and on the... More

I have been staying twice so far with my parents and it has always been a great experience. The service is great and all are very friendly and give you a very warm welcome. We felt at home very soon! The last time we stayed was just 2 weeks ago to celebrate my birthday. I came into the dining room... More

We stayed at Tigh Cathain for a single night before flying out of Dublin International Airport. And we wish we had more time to stay with Marie here. The house is wonderfully situated in a peaceful lot, and our room was spacious, quiet, clean and very comfortable. Sadly our flight left so early the next morning that we didn't get... More

We (2 adults, 1 child) stayed in this lovely house for three nights in a family room. We were welcomed from Marie (the owner) very friendly. The heating in the room was already on (it was cold outside), and we felt ourself like at home. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is excellent, we would definetly recommend to stay here.
