We stayed here for one night while in Trim. The room was fine, with the exception that we couldn't get the hot water going in the morning. Since we were only staying one night, this wasn't a problem for us. Otherwise, it was a great deal and in a good location for exploring Trim. Notes on visiting Trim: Definitely be... More

I had a bad experience in this Guesthouse. I found the room very cold, even though I mentioned this on check-in. There was also no spare quilt in the wardrobe. The phone didn't work in the room, the tap in the bathroom also didn't work. Breakfast was good but I checked out really early as I didn't find the room... More

This is a great place to stay in Trim. The staff are very friendly, homely atmosphere, good bar, great breakfast and great food generally in the restaurant. It's child friendly and you can't really get better value in Trim. Much better than the hotels in my opinion. One important thing to remember - ask for a room in the courtyard.... More

Brogans is really nice but it does have it's flaws, we stayed as part of a party group and basically took over most of the rooms Brogans had to offer. The room myself and my bf were staying in was nice, it was clean but had a hole in the wall, the plug for the TV was hanging off the... More

We have stayed at Brogans on numerous occasions and had no complaints. However, recently we spent one night there and it was a disaster. At the first room the keys didnt work and then the tv wasnt working so they gave us another room which was freezing..After three trips to the same member of staff, two phonecalls and a lot of spoofing, the heating was... We ate here two nights running last week: first night I had the large portion size of hot & spicy Chicken wings (yum - but could have done with a lot more chilli) and my husband had the chicken fajitas (tasty - but sauce would have been better with less tomato). On the second night I opted for the rack... More

I also had problems with the heating, the first night it wasn't working and day after, on all day, I opened the window so I wouldn't suffocate, and afterwards impossible to close it. It took two trips to the manager to get batteries that worked for the remote. There was (very good) music in the bar on the Friday night... More

We did not stay at the hotel, and from the sounds of other reviews are very glad! But we did have dinner in the bar, and absolutely rave reviews! We had "steak on a stone", with the urging of our waitress and B&B host. It was possibly the best steak we have ever eaten! Cooked perfectly, we did a great... More

No hot water , tv not working , phone not working to even call over let them know and still attempted to charge me full rate . Rooms were drab and dated. shower wasnt clean, dripping taps in bathroom, Tv didnt work, bedside lamp didnt have bulb. Decor was depressing. only saw one member of staff who did reception and bar. breakfast was very limited choice and unappetising.. Far too expensive for what was on offer..would give Brogans 0 star rating.
