Stayed here with 2 friends-the view was absolutely amazing and Simone was really helpful. We had everything we needed in the apartment and it was really relaxing! I would definately recommend Podere Casarotta!

We stayed in apartment number 5 ('Mulberry Trees) during the last two weeks of September 2012. Podere Casarotta is located in a truly stunning location, lovely and peaceful with amazing views over the Valdarno to the Chianti Hills. Our apartment was very clean, tidy, spacious and well equipped (there is no TV but there is a TV in a separate... More

We had a lovely stay in apartment 3 in late September. The apartment was very spacious for the two of us and the area so tranquil. Although the weather was cooling off we made the most of the pool and outdoor seating. There are so many places to see within easy reach of the farmhouse and Simone provided very helpful... More

We had a beautiful appartment overlooking the Chianti valley .... stunning views. The appartments are immaculate and tasteful, fully equipped with the exception of a TV ( there is a TV lounge in a close, separate building) There was no balcony, but each appartment has its own secluded private garden with table, chairs and sun-shade. The private pool is spotless and... More

Agree with all of below!! Way above expectations! Simone gave a us great tips on restaurants and day trips. The grounds are picture perfect as well as the rooms themselves. Great for friends, family or romantic retreats, We had rooms 2, 3 & 4. All were wonderful and just steps away from the pool. We will be back!!

We have recently returned from our week long stay at Podere Casarotta. I can only agree completely with the previous reviewer of this wonderful place. Simone is an excellent manager who manages to be both helpful and discreet, which I think is a perfect balance. Simone recommended apartment 2 to us and we were extremely pleased with it. The apartment... More

Website holiday reviews are perfect to find out whether places are 'Great' to stay at, or dismal dumps... But I think there must be another category of holiday home which is just perfect. So perfect that you are in two minds whether to tell the world(wideweb) about it or just keep it is a secret place and only tell family... More

This lovely Tuscan farmhouse was the perfect antidote to the dizzying pace of Naples and Rome where we spent a few days beforehand. Although the owner was not on site, Enzo the groundskeeper / olive picker was there every day to greet us with his warm grandfatherly smile and took care of whatever we needed (which we managed to communicate... Nice place for whose who went tired of everyday noisy life. The place is quiet, has no internet connection and less people around. Wonderful views all around. A car is really recommended for a trip. Visit to the local market is obligatory! Have fun!

Podere Casarotta was the perfect villa in the Tuscan countryside. My husband and I spent a week there it was fantastic. The views are breath-taking, the pool is relaxing, and there are so many great small towns in the area to visit for dinner or shopping. We will definitely go back to Casarotta! There is no internet service however, we... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Beautiful apartments in ancient (1774) Tuscan villa, that had an extensive restoration work in 2000, in a very refined style; there is also a swimming pool, immersed in the silent, relaxing surroundings of the countryside.Located on the hills of Pratomagno, between Florence and Arezzo (35 km from Florence, 25 from Arezzo, 50 km from Siena on well-made roads), on the cliff of the Pratomagno mountain, with a stunning sight on the whole Valdarno valley and the Chianti hills. Surrounded by olive trees (we do our own olive oil) and typical vineyards. The apartments can accommodate from 2 to 4+2 persons each; they all have at least one bedroom with double bed, its own kitchen, private bathroom and private outdoor garden area; one has two double bedrooms. Podere Casarotta will be your luxurious, comfortable and super relaxing starting point for touring Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, wine and food routes, you will find them all within a few miles! But beware of our pool: enjoying it in the perfect silence of our countryside can cause side effects like extreme laziness and lack of desire to travel... take your favourite book with you!The area is safe and quiet, rich in cultural attractions; perfect location for walking and mountain-bike. Very peaceful area. Spa town, Rapolano Terme, is 30 minutes away. Nearest village with many small shops and a supermarket - 4 km away.Valdarno valley, the area between Florence, Chianti and Arezzo is famous for its wine, its oil and nice food, like "fiorentina" steak. Its rolling hills are covered with olive groves and vineyards, it has extensive woodlands and beautiful restored historical buildings, including many castles and abbeys. All these features contribute to its charm and serene country atmosphere but it is in easy reach of towns such as Arezzo, Florence and Siena. ... more   less
