We stayed in Salgueiro on Nov 18-27 2011. In general, we really enjoyed our stay: the room was very nice and clean, with a wonderful ocean view. The restaurant offers very good menu and 10% discount for people staying in the hotel. Car parking is free. Really good value for money and an excellent base for exploring the west of the island. Staff are very friendly and helpful.Generous continental breakfast, We ate about 8 times out of 14 for our evening meal which was OK and gave 10% off. Great sea views from room. You definitely need a car to get around from here though

Seafront 3 star hotel in small Madeiran resort of Porto Moniz. Most rooms have sea views and are capacious. Hotel has recently been refurbished with no luxury spared. Breakfast / Dining room looks directly out to sea.
