I read quite a negative review just before our visit. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was large and very comfortable, clean and cosy. The food, dinner in the main dining room was excellent , plentiful and reasonably priced. Breakfast also. The hotel was as you would expect of a very old building, in...

I've stayed at this hotel on various occassions in the past but moved to another hotel outside of Dingwall however due to a late booking I was back at the Tulloch Castle. On the face of it, my stay was ok. I was given the Bridal room which included a huge 4 poster bed, large dressing unit and lots of...

We stayed for one night at the end of our weeklong trip through the Highlands. We were greeted by a couple of new staff members who were very friendly, helpful and offered us an upgrade to the Flat which was spacious and well appointed. The kids really loved the castle and we all enjoyed our short "ghost tour". The food...

This is a lovely old castle, which oddly enough is on the edge of a housing estate!! When you first walk in it is very grand, open fire cracking away, large staircases and a reception desk that is unmanned as the receptionist was off having a cigarette...how do we know it is something to do with the aroma of a...

Had a great Easter Weekend at Tulloch Castle, the room was good, comfortable and clean, staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food was excellent. Couldn't ask for more, we'll definately stay there again.

Where to start - the bar area where food is served is the worst decorated place in the area - it's a nightmare throwback to the 1970s. They don't seem able to even light it efficiently. The bar area is cold and unwelcoming and dingy. Beer selection and wine list remind me of a bad social club, not a hotel....

The sad thing about this hotel is the general air of complacency. It is a great building, and our room (12) had the potential to be great. As did the restraunt and the bar. Unfortunately the overall feeling we got was 'this will do'.
There was a note on reception stating there was a leak in the roof on the...

When you first arrive at the Castle it doesn't look very impressive from the outside. Inside it is quite nice, large staircase, old furnishings and an open log fire. The four poster bedrooms are very nice but I believe the standard rooms are quite basic. Ask for the flat if you are a family as it has two bedrooms en...

We booked this as the main attraction of this tour, with my girlfriend wanting to stay in a genuine Scottish Castle, and this one fitted the bill admirably. The approach up through a housing estate is a bit off-putting but the castle itself is more than grand enough to make up for the approach
The reception area boasts a large...
