This strong and sturdy three star hotel was built in 1899 to withstand the extreme weather that can be found in the highlands. It is old and comfortable and a piper played at least twice whilst we were having dinner. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient and the food is excellent. We had 4 nights there to explore the... More

We booked this at very short notice, and chose not to stay in Aviemore having read some rather poor reviews of other hotels. Our ver late booking got us agood rate. We arrived late at nigton a very unseasonably cold night, when the fire was burning brightly in the reception lounge. The roomswere more than adequate. Dated, and faded, but... More

Nethybridge Having just returned from a (very) long week-end in Scotland, I feel compelled to record my experience at the Nethybridge Hotel. My accommodation was above that of the 3 stars awarded, with a splendid vista from my front facing windows. Being part of a biking group of over 100 riders, I could see that this small 3 star hotel... More

I stayed here on a motorcycle trip last week for 3 nights on a half board basis. On arrival we were greeted with a gorgeous old stone build hotel, with oddles of charm. The twin bedded rooms where extremely comfortable, in fact possibly one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. Piping hot showers, breakfast was a buffet style,... More

When our Northern Ireland Rat Motorcycle Club group of 107 people on 89 motorcycles descended on the Nethybridge Hotel for our annual three day long weekend in Scotland, we were greeted by Robert, the manager, and made most welcome. The hotel was warm and cosy despite the overnight sub-zero temperatures and the staff were most attentive. We were able to... More

Once again we have returned to this fantastic part of the country, stunning scenery good food great hotel and lovely entertainment. The few days we were here have been great, the food was excellent and since it has been decorated and the function room updated there is nothing to fault at all. Every time we come up to the Nethybridge... More

We stayed here as part of a group and were very well looked after. Really good food and large rooms. The decor is a bit old now, but it's good value and set in stunning scenery. The locals bar is full of characters, but their more delicate clientele have the option of the residents bar too! More

having stayed at the Nethybridge Hotel many times over 20 years this is the end. Freezing cold room, terrible food to the extent that we gave breakfast on the second morning a miss. The evening meal was obviously pre prepared and frozen and then reheated. The breakfast on the first morning was dire , undrinkable coffee, burnt scrambled eggs, microwaved mushrooms.... More
